"Anytime you are in dire need of some real good authentic soul food or fresh fish to take home and cook, Capital Seafood is the place to be. It feels like family when you walk in, very busy, a little chaotic with so much stuff going on, but in a good way. On one side , people are taking orders for the fresh fish laid out on ice and how you want it cut, and the other side is the take out stand and register where you order your food. They have so many options and so much food to choose from that its probably a good idea to pick up a paper menu and read it before you reach the register instead of reading the menu on the wall. My favorite meal is the lunch special fried fish plate with whiting, potato salad, candied yams, and Mac and cheese. Definitely my number 1 place to go to for should food in Durham."

"First time eating at this restaurant. The price for two plates was great along with the friendly cashier who was so helpful. But the fish wasn't fried hard like I requested, nor was the fish seasoned, Where is the seasoning? i was a little disappointed because it was very tasteless. My two sides were the yams, which was very good but the okra, could also be seasoned as well."
