"I have been doing business with LKQ for 20 years as a Veteran Own Car dealership. This is why we get a bad name in our business because companies like this will screw the public & Veterans. I purchased a 12 month 12k mile warranty. I had it professional installed at a AAmco transmission shop by the senior mechanic. The Transmission they sold me immediately shifted hard in all gears. Eventually it only did it on 1,2 but that was the best it got. I called in the warranty and LKQ rep called me back in couple days. I asked me a series of questions that ended with does it have a check engine light and a code. I said not yet but it will. He said once it does call me back. I called for two weeks with no reply. I took a picture of code. The local rep (Richard Ramsey) told me to send it to him and the Transmission strategy which I did . They still denied the claim and gave me my money back. I asked for another transmission Richard said no they are just going to give me money back. I asked about the cost of install and he "no we are not going to cover that". I cannt get my money until they get the transmission back. THANK YOU FOR SERVING A STIFF ONE TO A VETERAN THAT SERVED HIS COUNTRY WITH HONOR. AT LEAST ONE OF US WILL DO THE RIGHT THING AND HONOR OUR AGREEMENTS. WHY SALE WARRANTY IF YOU ARE NOT GOI NG TO HONOR IT."
"They don`t even deserve that one star. I have never ever left a review in my entire life but with these guys, I am so disappointed and dissatisfied with their service. I bought a part from them over the phone and as soon as their sales person got all the info from me, she transferred my call to another person and the next person kept me on the phone for 50 minutes asking repetitive questions and was not able to complete the order. They were keep forwarding my call to each other and after spending 50 minutes on the phone for one simple order they confirmed that they will ship the part to me and charged me for it. Unfortunately it did not end there, after 4 days of my initial experience with them, the driver delivered the part and won`t release it saying that the money has not been paid. Now again I was on the phone talking to different guys trying to find the issue. After going over and over telling them that i was charged and the transaction has been processed with the confirmation of my bank, the driver left and took the part back with him. They said that once the transaction shows in their side they will schedule for another delivery time. They stuff are super slow and clearly either their system SUCKS or they don`t know how to work with it. Overall if you have time for headaches and hours to kill on the phone go ahead and try them otherwise stay away and go somewhere else where."
"bought a used transmission from this place and at a very good price. the only thing i did not like was when i took my core back and was waiting on my return check it took them nearly 3 weeks to get to me and address was wrong. but thank god it got to me anyway. though i would like to thank mike for helping me get this sorted. 100% recommend this place."
