City Barbeque

"I ordered from UberEats. I got the 1 pound Chipotle BBQ which came with 2 sides, 4 hamburger buns, and cornbread. In the app, it also comes with 4 oz of sauce. For my sides, I ordered slaw and baked beans. It came with cornbread and 4 hamburger buns. I am constantly searching for a good peach cobbler so I ordered that too. That came with whipped cream and it served 2. The slaw and baked beans were good. The brisket in the beans, however, was tough. As was the BBQ. No sauce was included. The BBQ could have been saved had it come with that container of sauce. The peach cobbler - didn't eat it. I'm not a huge fan of biscuit type cobbler. That's what this was. I prefer pie crust type cobbler. But the type of crust wasn't the issue. The issue was the big blob of BURNED cobbler in the 1 pint container. See photo. I tasted it just to see if it would be *candied*. Nope. It was burned. It tasted burnt. It smelled burnt. Unfortunately, I'm a super taster so every part of the dish that the burned parts touched also tasted burned. And it wasn't on top. It was wedged in there. Wasted $6 plus tax and 15% tip. Overall, not pleased."

"BBQ restraunt near the mall. The food was pretty good. Big selection of BBQ to choose from. Had a number of sides, too. The wait for the food was very long. I'm not sure if a little under staffed. Wasn't rally that busy. Service was ok! Overall, it's not a bad BBQ reatarunt to try."

"This restaurant is order and get food at counter style. So seat yourself. I had to wash our table with sanitizer because it was so sticky. We ordered bbq, ribs, collars, hush puppies, mac and cheese, and corn bread. Everything was ok.Nothing note worthy. I think they are missing flavor in most of their food."

"Well the City Barbeque in Durham NC is outstanding, no extraordinary. About a month ago I sat down with Stephen with manager explaining we were having a birthday party and I explained what we needed and he made a lot of suggestions to improve what we wanted. Well the party was yesterday and the food was the hit of the party. The barbeque was outstanding, chicken on the bone, sausage, the the baked beans with the brisket, Mac and cheese and the hush puppies. Then Stephen added 4 different barbecue sauces, rolls and everything we needed. Stephen said corporate headquarters sends out pins but I say he needs a bonus, raise or even a promotion to where he travels around the country teaching customer service. It was because of Stephen did we go to City Barbecue. We have 4 barbecue places closer to us but we traveled over 30 minutes because of the excellent service and food."

"We ordered takeout for our Sunday family dinner. We tried almost everything. We had smoked turkey, brisket, BBQ, ribs, smoked sausage, chicken, mac n cheese, greens, cole slaw, baked beans with brisket and corn bread. Everything was very good. I ordered several family meals and that will allow you to try different foods. We also got the sampler. We enjoyed everything. I didn't get to take pictures of everything. The pack everything neatly and made sure we had everything we needed. The food was ready on time. We loved cornbread so you may want to order extras."
