Golden Krust Caribbean Restaurant

"Wow, has this place changed in the last year. First off, the price has gone up about 45%. It used to be that you could get a large chicken curry with plantains, steamed cabbage and yellow rice for about $11. Now it's about $14 with an extra $3 for the plantains. That's ridiculous. Secondly, the food is not what it used to be. The chicken was full of bones with very little gravy. The rice was dry and not cooked all the way. I was wondering why it was so empty when I walked in today. Usually there is an about 10 minutes, today there was only one person in front of me. Too bad because I would treat myself about once every other week to this restaurant. Oh well, I suppose that I will get my Jamaican fix from the food truck on Guess rd, near the Popeyes. Give them a try, they are really good."

"I love Jamaican food, no doubt, and don't mind driving to find a great Jamaican restaurant. I was hesitant about a chain Jamaican restaurant, but I gave it a go. The oxtail was seasoned very well, and the portions were very nice. I was pleasant, surprised by the food."

"DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS PLACE! They are cutting corners and raising prices for no reason. The chicken soup was oily and flavorless, I paid 9.99 for a large and there was literally bones and skin but no quality meat! All the patties and cocoa bread was tough from sitting all day(probably all night). This place has gone way down hill.. that’s why there was no one in there at lunch time (what used to be it’s busiest hours). Never again."

"My coworker picked up food for me today after smelling someone else’s lunch in the office. I ordered 2x mild beef patties, the curry chicken lunch special and a side of plantains. The lunch special came with rice, veggies and 1 plantain. However I love plantains and snack on them during the day. So first things first. I devoured the beef patties. There were so good and the crust was flakey. Oh perfect! I tasted the other items and they were all delicious. However I was full from the patties so the rest of the food will be my dinner for tonight. Since my food was delivered to me I would like to check the actual restaurant out."

"This place is an authentic and true Jamaican restaurant. The oxtails here are the best tasting with true rich flavored broth. I love the food and the service here is exceptional. The beef patties are to die for, almost makes you think your back on the island having dinner. The restaurant is very clean and the food again is amazing along with the service and great prices makes this a recommended place to have lunch or dinner."
