Hot Mess Burgers Mint Hill

"Went here based on the reviews. Definitely had high hopes. It took someone 6 minutes to come and take my order. Once I ordered, they did inform me it would be a 15/20 min wait. Which is fine, they were busy and to me if a place is busy, it must be good! I waited that amount of time to get my food only to find out the food was not fresh. So I thought to myself, what was the purpose of waiting if I didn’t even receive fresh cooked hot food? The fries were trash. Garbage. Some of them hard as a rock. Cold. The burger had a good all around taste, but it was cold. So I was confused on why I waited. I would try it again, in hopes of fresh food especially if I am waiting that long. Better customer service and attentiveness would be nice too."

"The burgers look good and it's a nice location. If someone who admitted they didn't eat there can leave a 1 star review. It's only fair that I can leave a 5 star review. Looking forward to trying it. EDIT: Now that I have been here, the burger was very good. The thing most people think when they see a specialty burger shop is thats its expensive. I got a "Gladiator" combo and it was about 12$. If I go to Wendy's and get a similar double cheeseburger meal it's about 11$. So if you have time you should go."

"Crikey, this place is literally a heart attack on bread!! We stopped by to check them out. My oldest son can be pretty adventurous with certain foods, but even this was too much for him. He didn't even want to order after reading the way they pile things on these burgers. BUT, if you're looking for a heart attack on a bun, and not worried about clogging arteries, this is the place. I will say, it did smell good and the little I saw did look good, just not something we decided to eat."

"I was not very optimistic about another burger place after losing one of my favorite restaurants in Mint Hill called Happy’s. But the taste of my double burger with egg and bacon was delicious. The service could have been friendlier. But like I said above, the burger was great. I will be back."

"So. Not saying it was horrible. Its a regular, run-of-the-mill, burger. Nothing special. Basic meat and cheese. I lie. I think it speacial that they make the burger to order so it comes out fresh. It just took 15 mi utes cause they had one order before mine. Fries overdone and tater tots taste freezer burned. Guys behind the counter were nice and accomodating. But three basic tasting burgers, two sides, and two drinks $41.00. Lesson learned. Atmosphere is really drab red room with black trim. I think they were trying to make the place look like a shipping container in a room. Eh. It would have been better to keep a simple counter top and have more seating."
