"Kipos has been one of my go-to Greek restaurants in the area and they have the best Brunch. My usual is the Keftedes and Eggs for Brunch, their play on eggs and sausages. Their tzatziki is delicious! I also recommend their Eggs Benedict. The Pastitsio is comforting and hearty."
"I have been to other Giorgio restaurants in Chapel Hill and Durham. I had been to Kipos few years ago in their old location in downtown Chapel Hill for lunch and brunch. The food as all Giorgio’s was high quality and well made, but I hadn’t been to Kipos for few years since they have moved to their new Chapel Hill location. We tried the place for a birthday dinner, because my friends had told me about their live music at night. I am very glad we tried the dinner at the new place. The restaurant is very big but has a marvelous atmosphere. This was during the Christmas/ new year holiday season and VERY busy, but the service was very nice and friendly. We tired their appetizers. For main dishes we tried the chicken with lemon potato and their moussaka. For desert we tried their lemon custard. All dishes, as always were well prepared, fresh and tasty. However what will make me go back for dinner time is not just the food but the restaurant’s atmosphere . Kipos is happy and loud, friendly and lively. The positive vibes, the music and energy is great. Other notes: The restaurant is noisy, I LOVED it but if you are looking for a quiet place, just keep this in mind. They have a lovely patio which is not as noisy. Also, the dinner and lunch menus are different. I wish they would offer some of their lunch items ( like sandwiches) for dinner as well. The main dishes are reasonably priced (in the range for Chapel Hill dinning), but the appetizers are fairly small for the price. It would have been also great if a complementary basket of bread with the olive spread be provided for tables ( just a suggestion). All aspects considered, I loved the place and recommend it as well. This is a nice place for friend gatherings, date nights, family gatherings etc. There were also many families with kids."
"My wife and I are from Macedonia and have been to Greece 30+ times. Also, our own cuisine is very close to the Greek one. That said, this is probably the most authentic Greek restaurant in the triangle area. We've been here multiple times, tried a bunch of the food and everything is amazing. I'd recommend it to anyone. 10/10."
"Amazing place for date night! We tried two fish items on the dinner special and did not disappoint. Definitely will be going back to try more of the regular dinner menu items. Dessert was also very delicious!"
"Went here on a weekend for dinner with a group of 8 friends. Would definitely recommend making a reservation because the place is popular and always full. We ordered a couple items to share - the pita with 4 different dips and the zucchini fries. Both of the items were excellent and would recommend ordering. We ordered additional servings of pita bread to go with the dips. The tzatziki dip was one of the best that I have had - a real good balance of dill with freshness of cucumber. Among the entrees we tried the trout which came with beans. The fish was fresh, perfectly grilled but loved the beans more which had a smoky aftertaste. The chicken skewers were okay. The veggie rice was good too if you like the tomato-ey taste. For desserts we had the cheesecake and the olive oil chocolate mousse. Both of the desserts were absolutely delicious. So good, that we ended up ordering another cheesecake because we kept craving for more. Would definitely recommend the zucchini fries, platter or dips with fresh pita, the giant beans and the cheesecake."
