The Palm - Charlotte

"Decided to celebrate our early valentines day with dinner at The Palm. Had reservations made, and upon arrival, we were notified we had to wait a few to get seated. No biggie at all. We finally were sat and were immediately greeted by our server, Tony. He was very attentive throughout our whole dinner. He even let us know the kitchen was a little behind, so we should put our order in soon so we weren't kept waiting long. We ordered the fried calamari, which was DELICIOUS! We also ordered the 8oz ribeye steak, and it was the perfect amount to split between my husband and I. It was perfectly cooked and was DELICIOUS! Best tasting steak we have had in a while. We ordered the Mac and cheese and fries as our sides. Theac and cheese had a grill taste to it which I thought was weird but it was still delicious and the fries, OMG "Chefs kiss" they had just the right amount of crisp to it just how I like it. Overall, the best experience. The ambiance was expected, and everyone was super attentive and friendly. Will def. Be back for sure. Definelty recommend this restaurant for any special occasion or just in general. This is located in Phillips Place with complimentary valet parking or parking spaces at other shops around as well at the atla parking garage in the back."

"I have mixed feelings. The food was very good. I ordered the Salmon with artichoke risotto. The risotto only had one piece of artichoke but several olives. Although I like olives, it was not as described so I was disappointed. The service was not as expected. We waited to be greeted by a hostess, but we're not. The waitress seated us. She was not as attentive as she should have been. We arrived before 5:00 on a Wednesday, so it was not busy yet. We waited to put in a drink order and throughout the meal, the pace wasn't what it should have been. Waited for our check way too long. I can't say we will be back. When paying for a premium meal, you expect the service to match."

"Classic white tablecloth vibe, the service made the experience special. Food was excellent. Place has character relative to some of the newcomers in the area."

"Food is really good here. It should get a 5 but one steak was over cooked. The half and half side dish was excellent. Wine list has some really good options, but the brand names are over priced. Ser ice was perft and they let you stay as long as you want."
