"Your location Savannah Taste Experience Food Tours 108 W Broughton St, Savannah, GA 31401 Tour agency Marcia Lahens 3948 points 27 minutes ago This was our first visit to Room 112, but we will return. Let's get right to it! The spring rolls were good, but a bit on the greasy side, which accounts for only a 4 star rating. I ordered the appetizer, Salt & Pepper Calamari. It was beautifully presented, had a good dipping sauce and was more than enough for a main course. My husband ordered Glazen Shrimp in Coconut Sauce. It was lovely! The shrimp were cooked well, and nicely sauced. The sauce was good, but a bit on the sweet side for my taste, but not enough to dissuade either of us from ordering it again. It came with broccoli and white rice. There was enough to share, if both of us had ordered appetizers. Next time I want to try their maki. We saw other diner's orders and they looked really good. Service was efficient and pleasant. We found the prices to be reasonable...win-win!"
"You sort of have to search this place out a little. It’s off of Tryon St and you enter a high rise building and go down a hall until you see Room 112 off to the side. It’s very unassuming which kind of adds to the charm. My friends ordered rolls and they all looked good. I opted for Korean short ribs which were good. Honestly, a little surprised to see it offered on the menu. Were they the best ever? No. But I ate all of it anyway. I started with wonton soup. The wontons seemed made in house. Which I can appreciate but I had a couple that were just wonton wrapper and no filling. Kind of a letdown. I would likely come back and try a few more things and bonus points for being walking distance from my hotel."
"First time visitors from Alabama. We had a party of 3 and hungry for sushi, hibachi, fried rice, etc. Room 112 checked all the boxes! We ordered Spring Rolls for an appetizer and the Cherry Blossom roll, Shrimp & Salmon Teriyaki, and Chicken Teriyaki for entrees. All of it was excellent! Perfectly cooked, flavorful, and fast. Portions were plentiful, and prices were fair and well worth it. You won't leave hungry, for sure. Our server, Nick, was fantastic. Very fun, professional, and had great recommendations! He made the experience even better. Would be great for takeout or delivery, too. Will definitely be back!"
"I came here on a whim. In the mood for sushi and it's up the street from my house, gave it a shot. It's a small little place, nice atmosphere but felt cluttered, tight aisles, weird counter placement and take out line made it feel cramped. I didn't see signage that said wait to be seated or seat yourself. I got hung up waiting in the take out line to ask for a seat. Overall I enjoyed my food. Not very exciting taste wise. Pad Thai was ok. Very stingy to non-existent on flavors like basil, lemongrass, spice. Veggies were somewhat over cooked, I saw no bean sprouts, minimal peanuts. It was boring, mushy sweet ketchup noodles. I missed the crunchy texture factor I crave with Pad Thai. It was Good for a last min option but was somewhat bland for a decent pad Thai, 7/10. I wouldn't get it again. I Should have asked for some spice. Next time I will. I had a sushi combo (spicy yellowtail and spicy crab (imitation crab) and a super crunchy roll. My fault for not clarifying or asking if the crab roll was imitation. Both unfortunately were not spicy at all, 6.5/10.The sushi was ok. Obviously not fresh, pre made? Overly sticky, had to use hands vs chopsticks to pry them off plate and each other. For optics the browning avo in the rolls wasn't the most visually appealing for me but good overall. The sushi here is what I consider "starter sushi". They do have nigiri and sashimi but I need to visually see some options before I'd order raw sushi here. I need a visual of the fish in a showcase cooler in front of a rolling station before I eat raw sushi. I can be a bit picky when choosing a really good sushi haunt. THIS isn't a place for seasoned sushi consumers. Im not really into cooked sushi, but usually get that when trying new places. The rolls themselves structurally looked good but fell flat for me picking them up and they begin falling apart. As mentioned they didn't taste fresh. Nothing "fried" in the rolls were warm. Definitely wouldn't order raw options here. On any future visits I'd stay away from the sushi and pad Thai all together. Granted this was a last min lunch choice, and it did put the crave to rest by satisfying a quick need for sushi. Harris Teeter deli has comparable quality in the pre packaged rolls. This would not be a place I'd consider plunking money down on sushi expecting GOOD sushi. Spring rolls were tasty 10/10. The star of the show was the waiter. He maned the dining room with multiple 4 top tables, me and a couple. Managed to keep me satisfied, fed and watered regularly as he attended to everyone else, then bused all the tables himself. None of the women helped him, he was up there alone for as long as I paid attention. One woman did give me a menu after a few mins, but she vanished once he got to my table. He also got carry out orders, packed stuff.. took calls. The guy w the longer hair tied back w/ the cool earring deserves all his tips. More impressed with him than the food. I haven't seen that level efficiency in a long time. Overall food was ok, but its better options around the vicinity, im sure I'll try it again one day. Lunch was easy enough to snag a table. Not sure abt dinner considering the size. This is what I'd consider a 2nd-3rd choice if a better option falls thru. Definitely gave vibes as a better appetizer and wine place. I'll probably go that route on any future visits.I"
"Absolutely delicious food and the atmosphere was very cozy and intimate. The restaurant is tucked away inside a building and kinda hidden so it's pretty easy to miss however definitely worth looking for! The food was so delicious and the service was very quick. Everything tasted amazing and was served quickly. The decor inside was nice and the restaurant was not overly crowded. Everyone not eating was wearing a mask. I greatly appreciate the fact that the nori can be subbed for soy paper here. Looking forward to coming back!!"
