"This is a great coffee shop, but they have a problem with homeless people camping out in the store on cold days. Which is nice of them to allow. I get it. But when they’re taking the entire couches, and other seats, some clearly on drugs/not well, you’re not setting up a good customer experience. Their decision to allow do so, but making sure others are informed, as it definitely is a core part of the Oak House experience & not always great"

"Great home like ambience, good music, we ordered Caramel latte and Caramel macchiato, Brianna was courteous and quick to take our order. Jess was our barista and to be quiet frankly she hit every single note in our taste buds! Awesome job girls!!!"

"Excellent coffee and the tasting are great! Staff are super knowledgeable, especially the two guys always there. If you want to do a beer tasting or whisky go there. Good pastries too"

"I've stopped by a few times in the morning since moving to the area in April 21 and haven't been disappointed yet, not that I'm looking to be. My order isn't usually complicated, a mocha or cappuccino, and sometimes a pastry. Today, a croissant. The mocha was about the right level of sweet for my taste and the croissant as expected and lightly toasted. Staff folks have always been friendly. They also have adult beverages, wine, beer, and spirits. I assume the 2 former could be purchased for take-out. Decent amount of seating. At times, the music, which by itself isn't terribly loud, makes people talk a little louder, which makes the overall volume a little high. Nothing that'll stop me from dropping by."

"One of the best place to have good coffee in Durham. Friendly staff, good music, elegant ambiance, and a perfect location. I always prefer almond milk Cappuccino, the server recommended Oat milk this time and this was the best Cappuccino I have had in years. White Chocolate Latter was good too. Definitely a must go place if you are into coffee. They do have several other alcohol based drinks too."
