El Preferido Mexican Restaurant

"I didn't think you could screw up Mexican food, but this place did. The food was bland (some of the people in our party were OK to leave uneaten food), the salsa tasted like tomato sauce with some mild spice (made it better with bottled chili sauce on the table), the fajita plate was not sizzling like other restaurants (cooked and then transferred to a cast iron looking plate), and they don't serve margaritas ... more a product of the county then the restaurant. Definitely not impressed."

"A few of us met at El Preferido. The waitress came and asked what we wanted to drink. First, she brought us chips & salsa and drinks. A few minutes later, the waitress asked if we were ready to order. I don't frequent Mexican restaurants much, so my friend said anything you order here tastes great. I ordered a chicken Taco Salad, which is awesome! If you're ever around the Clover area, you must try this place out. You will enjoy the food."

"Great authentic food, first visit, had the combo and got a cheese burrito, which was awesome, also had the cheese pepper, which was also good, got sliced avocado with it, prices are reasonable, I enjoyed it, my wife had the arroz con camaron, she didn’t like it, said it didn’t have any flavor, very casual restaurant and bar, serves beer and wine only , hope to be back, staff was great, thank you !"

"The food is amazing. It gets better and better every time we go to dinner. It was very busy on a Tuesday, but the service was still fantastic. I would definitely recommend the sangria over a margarita. The fried ice cream was so good! We can’t wait to go back"
