"This food is so good I’m writing this review while I’m still eating it. Get the white pizza with pepperoni. It’s the best food I’ve had in Charlotte and the best pizza I’ve had, ever. The amount of flavor they get in this pizza is crazy. FYI you need to order in advance."
"We are literally 30 minutes out from this place but we were super committed to the adventure and an entire drive of rain. Nothing was going to stop me from having amazing pizza! Never been here before but my friend recommended it and since I have not found a great pizza spot in Charlotte, I said what the heck, let's do it. I arrived and got my pie! Seating is outside but covered however with the rain and all we decided to eat in the car. I grabbed my first slice and was absolutely amazed. The pizza was delicious. A great ratio to cheese and sauce. The dough was nice and crisp on the outside but chewy on the inside. I would recommend anyone to stop at this amazing place. Thanks Bird Pizzeria, you made my day!"
"I have had this place on my radar since it was the only decent looking pizza spot I have found so far in Charlotte. You order on your phone by either visiting their website or scanning the code on their takeout window and then wait patiently. The ticket times are a little long but they are also working out of a small kitchen so it is totally understandable. They have a decent amount of outdoor seating but you can take it to go as well. Just by looks alone, this was a sharp looking pizza. I ordered the plain pie which comes with tomato sauce, fresh mozzarella, and basil. Coming in at a 16" pie, the value is there for the price you're paying. The pizza had some good char on the bottom, a light crisp, and a good chew to the outer crust. I noticed there were also what looked like bread crumbs in the box. I have heard of some places doing this on the outer or bottom crust but it was used sparingly to not take away from their dough. My only critique was that it just needed a little more oomph to it. I don't know if that needs to be in the sauce or the cheese, but I felt it just needed to be turned up a little more in terms of flavor. Otherwise, the individuals who own the spot were friendly and kept me updated on the status of my order. I got here right at open and they already had people picking up orders so it definitely has a good amount of recognition in the area. It was an interesting location as well because you have this unassuming pizzeria on one side of the road and newer apartments on the other side. It was like two worlds collided but were still living in harmony. If someone had asked me where to go for pizza in Charlotte, I would probably send them here first."
"Kept hearing about how this is one of the best pizza places in Charlotte and had to give it a try. This place did not disappoint, pizza was ready right when my pickup time was and this place now ranks in my top 5 pizza spots in the Charlotte area. Will be coming back to try the red sauce pizza next."
"By far the best NY style Pizza I have had in NC. So if you get the chance to try it you must do it. First things to know they are only open Wednesday -Saturday and only for 4 hours of until they run out of Pizza. Yes run out and the do run out quickly and early. We went on a Friday and they were out of pizza by 6pm. So get there early or advance order. Now onto the food the pizza was crispy very thin slice cooked to near perfection. The cheese and sauce were fantastic, sauce was slightly sweet. We had sausage and mixed red and white onion to me was the perfect toppings. Trust me when I say I am excited about pizza it takes a lot to get me excited, as an Italian from NY. Bon appetite my friends."
