"The parking lot was full and I thought I would have to wait for a table, but they had tables available. So even if the lot is full stop and eat. I had blackened salmon, onion rings and hush puppies and ice tea. The portions of the onion rings and hush puppies were humongous. Onion rings must be made in the kitchen. They were fresh and very tasty. Hush puppies among the best I ever had. The ice tea was delicious. And the blackened salmon was spot on. Very good sized portion. Even though the place was very busy, it was a Saturday night, the waitress never missed a beat. Always checking to make certain all was good with me. Excellent job! The bus boy quickly cleaned the tables. This is a well run place. My compliments to the kitchen staff, the dining room staff, to everyone and the management for creating a fine dining experience. Great food at a fair price. My total was $23.50 before tip. Accepts credit/debit cards by adding a small fee. Cash is less $. Enjoy your meal."

"Underwhelming. If you are looking for a large portion of somewhat bland, but palatable seafood for a reasonable price, this is the place. The "drive-by" service style seems to be geared towards volume and speed, vs any real customer interaction. Our server was efficient, but I would guess that our total time spent with her was "

"If you are looking for good seafood in Gaston County, go here… Yes, there will be a wait if you get there after 6 pm. The food is very good, the service is quick and the atmosphere is quirky. Imagine a starter ranch type home that morphed into an eatery. I am not saying this as a negative, only that it is not the mainstream uber modernism that you see in restaurant design. The focus is the food and what deliciousness it is ! We got there early because the week before we got there after 6 pm and it was packed. People were sharking the large lot looking for a space to park. Going early and by early I mean, 5ish, we still had to had to look for a space but found one on the first pass. The restaurant does have really large booths for big parties in the back. We sat next to one. They look like if you get in the middle of the bench, you can only hope that someone has Purell because 6 people will have to get up to let you out to wash your hands. In looks like a great way to corral children though. Our food came out 15 mins after ordering. It can only assume that the cooks are constantly frying up everything on the menu because I doubt the food is sitting around under a hot lamp with the crowds there. I got the large fried shrimp, and it was really good. The food was piled up and made me feel ok about the price. I have had better seafood, but not this far from the ocean. The Man got the filet flounder and shrimp. We both agreed we liked and will go back. The waitress kept us hydrated as we powered through. The drinks were never more than half empty and a good half/half blend. What we didn’t like was the rushed feeling. I understand the management wants to get the people fed, paid and out so that the next group can sit down. However, its tacky to bring the check while people are still eating, and you can visually see them still eating. Also, don’t offer sweet potatoes that are the size of a meatball. Next time, I will just get fries."

"Back home visiting family and friends in Charlotte NC. Of course an annual visit to a fish camp. Several fish camps have either closed or cut hours, but Riverside still very popular and great seafood. No reservations taken but we were seated quickly to our table for 10, but only 9 could make it. Our server Allysha brought menus and took drink orders. We picked two servings of Onion Rings and one serving of Fried Squash for the table to share. Onion rings were ok but the Squash was terrific! Crispy outside and soft inside. My wife picked the Senior plate of Green Shrimp with a loaded baked potato. I went for the Butterflied Shrimp and Oysters, with an extra coleslaw for side. Pretty busy there about 4:15 on Friday. Our food took a bit of time but gave us a chance to visit and talk with the family and friends. Both our meals were excellent. My oysters thinly breaded and flash fried to be crispy outside and juicy inside. I wound up taking a few shrimp, coleslaw and about 20 hushpuppies back to hotel for next day. Excellent food, great service, a bit noisy but not so much so to prevent conversations. This will undoubtably be our annual go to for our visit."
