"My wife and I dined in a few months back. It was about an hour before closing but we figured we could be in an out in a timely manner. I used to work in the restaurant industry so I understood knocking out some of the cleaning duties, however it took 15 minutes for our waitress to come get our drinks after we were seated. There was another issue with the food and the manager came by to check on our table as he was doing with all other guests. We told him of a couple of the inconveniences and he insisted on correcting the issues. He apologized for the errors and went above and beyond to make sure we left happy. All of this to say, the world needs more managers like the one that was working that night. My wife and I are the last people to ever consider "speaking with the manager" but he came to our table first to check in on us. He was empathetic and asked us to please come again soon. We certainly will be back for many years to come. Thank you to the folks over at K38 for having the right people, and good food too!"
"Great bar experience, couple of beers and food taken togo, seemed like a waste for a burrito though ate hear then had to get something else from another restaurant definitely minus on the portion and the burrito sort of fell apart when I got it home and opened up. SoCal Burrito, sadist SoCal burrito I’ve ever seen. Thanks for the cold beer y’all!"
"This restaurant used to be one of my favorite restaurants in Wilmington. After the previous owner passed, it went downhill and then sold. I stopped coming here before it was sold because we were literally getting cold steak and chicken on our tacos. It's been a long time, and knowing that there was new ownership, we decided to give them a try. The inside and out look precisely the same. I think it is time to remodel. Some of the floorboards where we sat were coming up. The service was not bad but not good either. We had to wait a while to get the attention of our waitress to ask for some Picante sauce and refills for our drinks. She also asked us if we wanted refills when we both needed refills, which was strange because we had just received our food. The chips and salsa are still good, but in the basket of chips they gave us, most of the chips were broken into small pieces. The queso is still good, but it was barely warm. We both ordered Fajitas for our entrees. Our waitress asked us if we wanted a half or entire order. That was new. We both got half, which was half-price—$ 10 each for chicken fajitas and one side. Excellent bargain. The chicken in both dishes was very dry, and the onions and peppers were saturated in the sauce they used. I got rice as my side dish. It is one of the worst things I have ever tasted. No clue why they sell that. It is so bad. Our other side was refried beans. It was okay. Nothing about the food or experience was worth going back."
"Went here for lunch and had no complaints. The food was decent and at a reasonable price, there was plenty of seating, and the staff was friendly. The outdoor seating option is actually nice when compared to some other locations as it offers enough shade and isn't pushed up against a sidewalk or parking lot. For a Mexican style restaurant its about what you would expect and while I enjoyed my lunch I don't think anything here stood out to me enough to return."
