"A great place to get some oysters. Attentive, down to earth staff. Non-Oyster items' prices are a bit higher than some places, so I would stick to oysters and springboard off that as a starter for your evening. Delicious food, great service. Numerous seating options are not super ideal. Somewhat loud."

"Restaurant says it opens at 4:30pm. I called at 4:35pm to place a pick up order and was told they have already taken all the to-go orders they are going to allow for the evening. When I asked how that is possible when they’ve been open 5 minutes, I was told “oh, people call as early as 3pm to place takeout orders. So they are advertised closed yet taking orders so when customers follow their instructions stating they aren’t open until 4:30pm, they are simply refused service. If you call when they are closed, performing the tasks necessary to open at 4:30pm, preventing the restaurant from honoring the hours advertised, you are rewarded with your order being taken prior to opening and served. So just don’t be courteous or show any respect for the posted restaurant hours and they will happily serve you. OR, just order from one of the many local restaurants that appreciate customers that actually respect the posted hours of operation. We definitely won’t waste our money here again."

"First time eating here and it did not disappoint. Exceptional staff and service which is hard to find this day and time! Aaron, our server was top notch and explained the specials perfectly. We enjoyed the She-crab soup, crab cakes and the filet mignon. We will visit again to try other menu items."

"1st visit to Mr. P's where I received exceptional service. This is one of the best dining experiences in Southport. Trinity was amazing explaining the specials. I highly recommend the Blue Crab, Oysters 3X3 and the crab dip enjoyed with a glass of Caymus Cabernet. I also recommend the Blackened Tuna with asparagus as a main entree. The Key Lime pie was the best and is homemade!"
