"There is no food, so I don't know why the internet can't update that there hasn't been food for years. However the service is fantastic, I'm so glad they got rid of Mr you're not allowed to laugh Pat. There were people laughing in a full bar last night having a good time and no big grumpy man coming in telling them they need to keep it down. Because you know laughter in a bar, how horrible LOL. The drinks were served in a glass by someone with a friendly smile in a really busy bar. The bathrooms are large and clean, and even though the place was packed it was quite friendly and a complete 180 from the last time I was here years ago. Went for karaoke and enjoyed it even though the feedback was Mayhem, it was still quite fun and a lot of people had a great time. It's a diverse crowd of young and old and everybody got along regardless of age or politics or anything else we were all just enjoying a Thursday drinking a few drinks and laughing a lot without being told you can't do that. Definitely had a great time and I got to say the staff was really knowledgeable as well because I wanted something they didn't have and they suggested something else and it was delicious. Again this is not a restaurant please don't come here expecting to get a meal."

"The standard from which all pubs should follow. Great atmosphere, fun clientele, outstanding food (sadly, not anymore), stellar beer and spirits selection, and an incredibly friendly staff. We love everyone there. Highly recommend this place! UPDATE: In regard to certain reviews stating they are not a veteran friendly establishment. That is complete and utter garbage. I'm an Army veteran and have always been, and felt very welcome there. One of the bartenders' husbands is a veteran of the USMC and currently works for the Army. I have met many veterans from the Army, Marines, Navy, and even the AF, who frequent and absolutely love The Pub. I do as well and will continue to support them. AATW!"

"One of the best pints of Guinness and Smithwicks I’ve had on this side of the Atlantic. Me and a group of others worked near Southport for over a month and any given afternoon you could find most of us at the pub. The price, atmosphere, and service kept us all sane. Shoutout to Jessica, Alyssa, Riley and the rest of their staff made us feel at home as soon as we showed up. Can’t wait for an excuse to come back to Southport so I can hit the pub again!"

"Walked over from the Westgate hotel on New Year's Eve to check it out. I wasn't planning to stay long but the crowd was friendly, the service was great and had a great selection of beers. The next time I find myself in Southport, this will be my go to place."
