Publix Super Market Commons at Federal Point 1018 North Lake Park Boulevard, Carolina Beach, NC 28428

"I’m at this store probably 4 times a week. The people there are all very friendly and the store is clean. The main issue I have is that about every 6 weeks I buy something from here that’s expired. Not like a few days but like a month or more. After that I will check every expiration date when I shop. After some time I let my guard down and that’s when I again end up with something expired. In November it was a bottle of juice that expired in August. Now it’s Jan and my most recent trip I purchased a garlic aioli that had expired in early Dec. I went and asked if I could exchange it. They said yes. When I went to the shelf every bottle there expires either in Nov or Dec. so I ended up getting my money back. A few days later I went to open a box of frozen veggie sausage that I had bought during that same trip and noticed they had expired in June! I had purchased 3 boxes! So I returned those. I was there earlier today and picked up a yogurt that expired a month ago. So just check your dates if you’re shopping here otherwise it’s a nice store."

"This Publix is excellent: super-clean, nice musuc/atmosphere, well-stocked, and nice employees. Definitely worth shopping here, great experience."

"Store is clean and the deli meat we received was good and fresh. Didn’t care for the self service cashier standing over me while I checked myself out, but other than that I was able to get everything we needed to make cold cut sandwiches while on vacation. They even had the condiments in packets so we didn’t need to buy the small bottles . If you don’t trust people to check themselves out, you might want to open up registers and do it yourself. Took a star away because I was made to feel uncomfortable with the guy standing right at my back. It’s bad enough my own anxiety has me scanning everything in a way that I don’t look guilty, but the extra pressure had me counting and recounting to ensure I didn’t look like a thief. At least at another Publix the worker in self serve came over and said we are slow, I’ll scan it for you. That made me at least know they needed sometime be doing when it’s slow."

"Its a big grocery store similar to wegmans. I have heard really good things about Publixs pastries and they were true. I got some lemon macaroons and they were very delicious. The grocery store is pretty big and looks amazing, but didn't have a chance to shop around."
