"Warning this will be long. SERVICE - Awesome, today Khalehla was our waitress. But all the other waitresses filled your drinks, checked on how happy you are with your meal. The best way to describe this effort is TEAM WORK, IT WORKS WELL. FOOD - portions are great. This was our 1st visit and Not our last. We ordered extra sides so we could try different items from the menu. Onion Rings were cooked just right. French Fries were seasoned just right and tasted great. The rest of our meal was very unique, and yes it would remind you of your mom's cooking. Grilled ham and Swiss on rye. Have not found this anywhere else in the area. Barb-Q plate, the pork was seasoned that gave it a vinegar, spicy mixture. Never had Barb-Q that way and definitely would not pass that up again. Mix the pork plate with the coleslaw provided and that is a home run. The Lima beans had a smoked flavor to them and as a lover of Limas we would get that again. If you're in the area come on by and check them. Buy a shirt or hat too. If you read my reviews please give it a like as it lets me know people are seeing them. Thanks Sean Arnold. "I have eaten at Mama Jean's many times. Both breakfast and lunch. Ordered from the menu as well as eaten from buffet. Everything has always been great! Staff is always very friendly and attentive! Definitely worth a stop if you are in the Myrtle Beach area!"

"This was our first visit to this wonderful home cooked restaurant. Outstanding selection of country cooking, including very good chicken and pastry. Very good fried chicken, and a large selection of vegetables with outstanding flavor. Great dessert options, too. Wonderful staff throughout the building and assisted us with selecting our food choices. Our waitress never allowed our glasses to go below half empty and checked on us throughout our visit. We can't wait to go back to try the breakfast menu. If you're in the area, definitely stop by for a very filling meal. You won't go away hungry and the prices are very reasonable."

"Very busy , the place was packed Sunday after church . It was 17$ for the breakfast buffet but it’s totally worth it . It’s not like a “golden coral “ buffet where everything is frozen , prepackaged food . All of this stuff is cooked fresh , the service was good , pretty waitresses and busses . For 17$ you can’t beat it , they have ever thing you can think of for a good southern breakfast, the biscuits and sausage gravy where very good too . Would recommend 10/10 for anyone local or tourist. :)"
