"Just ordered food. These are the chicken strips my husband got! Probably cooked yesterday! Hard and burnt! My fries with my burger were cold and soggy! Unacceptable!"

"We stopped in as we wanted something different. What a treat! The steak, mushroom and cheese hot sub was overflowing with steak. The sandwich was delicious. I had the pepperoni pizza....OMG was it good. I love wood fired pizza. We will definitely drive from Oak Island for lunch or dinner next time we visit NC shore. Thanks for a GREAT lunch. "Lived in Sunset Beach for 4 years. I eat pizza at least once a week. Joey O's opened up and the reviews wasn't that good. Thought I would give them time to establish themselves. Recently had a neighbor tell me the pizza was pretty good. So, today I decided to give them a try. I called in my order and was told it would be 40 minutes. I arrived in 40 minutes and picked up my pizza. When I got home I opened the box and the pizza was a little burnt on the outside. Went to put a slice on my plate and me hands were covered with grease. Took a napkin and removed some of the grease which I have never had to do. Took a bite and it was not only cold ( I live 5 minutes away) but very chewy. So I dissected the pizza and the dough in the center was raw. The pizza had no Italian flavor. My 1st and last time. As a pizza lover in this area I would suggest Bella's or Christopher's. By the way this is the 1st time I wrote a review. Please don't waste your time or money. It's pretty pricey for pizza."

"Tried the pizza a couple years ago and there was a problem with our call in order so we had to wait. Another pizzeria has the same number or something but anyway the experience wasn’t great and we’re not here full time so never went back. Almost didn’t try it again due to the complaints online about wait time etc but I noticed nobody seemed to complain about the pizza so I gave it a shot-glad I did. Pick up order was done in time (early actually) and the service was good. The pizza, just got a plain to check it out, was excellent, and I’m somewhat picky. The dough was great, it was good sized, and cooked perfectly-just a hint of dark which is just how we like it. Highly recommended."

"2 stars, because this wasn't the worst pizza I've eaten, but since it took over an hour to get to us once our update said it was out for delivery (2 hours after ordering), it didn't live up to the brick oven experiences I've had the pleasure of tasting in the past. By the time it got to us it wasn't warm and was getting soggy. It probably would be better if you picked it up or dined in, but we weren't looking to leave the condo after waking up early and traveling through the day."
