John's Place

"This afternoon around 4 my wife and I went to John's Place (one of our regular places). It's always very loud in there, but it's the bar/pub side and we always get good service from Travis, Elijah, Miles, and others. We sat at one of the tables around the perimeter and Alex took our order. There was a VERY loud, obnoxious drunk cursing vulgarities at the bar. I'm not a prude, but I'm not vulgar in public either. The bar tender came to the end where the drunk and his buddy were celebrating and they got even louder. When the drunk let go with another loud "f___" I got up and walked over to them. Addressing the bar tender I told him that we'd had enough of this behavior and he responded defensively to me, "This is a bar". If I need to explain why this does NOT justify behavior like this well, you're just too stupid to understand. He said again "This is a bar" so I asked his name (Dave) and I told him I'd fix him up. So, here it is. I feel confident that no owner or manager would tolerates a representative like 'Dave'. Yeah Dave, there's a bar on that side of John's Place/Marios but there's also floor and side tables for people to eat. And there's no excuse for either the loud drunk or for the owner's of John's Place to keep anyone in there employ that defends unacceptable behavior."

"John's Place always produces good food and a pleasant dining experience. The bar is full service, and it is a good place to watch the game. I enjoy their specialty steaks and pork chops. The pasta is always good. I like their Margarita pizza, as well as, white pizza. I would like to see a side salad option instead of ordering a full salad. The drive thru window is convenient for pickup ordering. I like the selection of beer on tap, and the bartenders are top notch."

"Update (April 24, 2022): Visited again and once more the staff was good and our order came out quicker than last time. Burger was good but the shimp scampi pasta was very oily. Nice atmosphere with good staff. However it seemed like our order took a while to come out. The garlic knots were delicious. Chicken marsala had a good taste."

"Really flavorful food. I went for brunch on this visit but the pizza and shrimp appetizer is great too. For brunch we had an omelette, shrimp benny, waffle, and shrimp and grits. It was ALL good. The shrimp and grits can be shared between 2 people because the portion is large. Also, they offer bottomless mimosas that are incredibly affordable. Service is always great! Don't hesitate to try this place."
