"As restaurant owners that make everything homemade from scratch ourselves, we were pleasantly surprised to find these folks doing the same! Everything we had was really good! The chorizo cheese dip and horchata were the true stars of the show. Absolutely amazing! Everyone working there was so nice as well. We will return when we’re in town again and hope this place stays in business for a very long time!"
"This place is the real deal if your looking for delicious authentic Mexican food made to order. Wow! Javier is the man too. We ordered, birria tacos, fish tacos & carne asada and everything was great. The consume that the birria came with was delicious! Salsas all on point too! Definitely can't wait to come back"
"Our first time visiting Clayton! We bookmarked this restaurant on our way to Asheville from Atlanta. We planned to go on Wed but it was closed so we came here on Friday. I had a Puerto Rican food a few times because my Spanish teacher was from Puerto Rico and taught me all about it. We ordered Chicharrones de pollo (rice & beans) and Pernil Asado (mofongo). Both super delicious! All made to order so definitely fresh and hot. Crispy chicken was simply amazing. I wanted to meet Lydia (the owner) and say “hola” but she wasn’t there unfortunately. If you are driving by this town, be sure to drop by and try it! You’ll love it!"
"I wish I could give more than 5 stars! My friend and I made a trip especially to Clayton this past Saturday just to try the Puerto Rican food. My first husband was Puerto Rican and I fell in love with the cuisine from his heritage. Needless to say it was worth the 45 minute drive to sample items from the menu. The staff was very friendly and watched them patiently explain menu items to customers unfamiliar with Puerto Rican food. As for the food....The mofongo, tostones, and the chicharrones de Pollo were out of this world delicious!! (My pictures don't do the taste and presentation justice!) I can't wait to go back to try more! I promise, the drive is worth it!"
"A rare find. All fresh ingredients. Service is wonderful. The best Latin - Puerto Rican food in town hands down. Empanadas, Rice with Roast-pork…. Mofongo and the best Flan. Had an amazing experience. You must go. Simply delicious."
