"Jim with JF Maxwell came to our property last week on Monday to give us a price on HVAC system. When he first arrived he walked in the house looked around and said “what we got here” then he said it a second time. Then he told us who he was. My husband told Jim what we were wanting to do and what we were wanting a price on, but Jim I take it didn’t like that. My husband told him we were considering spiral duct work and Jim with his condescending voice said ”do you know how expensive that is” then he said “it is going to cost me $9000 and I am going to charge you $15,000”. Jim also stated that our roof was too high for this house. Then Jim told my husband that he would email us a quote for the job but he was going to pass on doing the job. Needless to say we never received that quote. So I will say this Jim had a nasty attitude when he walked in from the start. Then he continued to throw out negative comments every time my husband mentioned what we were wanting to do. As soon as he left I told my husband we are not using that guy that I did not like his attitude. That is when my husband told me that he was passing on the job anyway. We have met with other HVAC companies… so we knew what we could and couldn’t do and never received any negative condescending comments. "I had a problem with a new system that was installed incorrectly two years ago. J F Maxwell was not only responsive, and scheduled a service call, with a sense of urgency, they identified the issues and made my system whole. I am so grateful for their knowledge and professionalism. Had these issues not been resolved, it could have resulted in fire, carbon monoxide exposure, and other serious safety issues. I will only use them for HVAC needs moving forward, and have referred them to friends."
