"I absolutely love this place. The food is fantastic and you can tell the guys definitely love what they do and take a lot of pride in it. This place also had some of the best customer service that I’ve experienced in a long long time. The staff was exceptionally kind and went above and beyond to take of me. Also, the location and the outside eating area is flipping adorable."
"This is it. That local place you've been looking for, with the great pizza. The place with great food and real folks that also welcomes folks like you, from the outside. When you walk inside, if the smell of dough and roasting cheese doesn't hit you as just perfect – you should probably leave. Because this smell is exactly what your pizza will taste like. It's not complicated. This ain't Clayton. You in Long Creek."
"Of course, for me, anytime I can sit outdoors and eat with my wife it is a good day! Unfortunately, I was so enamored by both that I failed to take pictures of the food when it arrived. Sorry. We were staying close by at the Chattooga Lodge and a guest there suggested Humble Pie because they had gone. They, too, enjoyed it very much! The pizza was made-to-order, and I also had a Cuban sandwich. The crust was excellent and the toppings fresh. The owner delivered it outside to us, and we chatted a bit. Very pleasant. The Cuban sandwich is not like what you would find in Miami, and has a definite Southern twist. Tasty, but I prefer the original. Good selection of beers and soft drinks. Nothing pretentious here and we liked it a lot. Will definitely go back when I'm the area, and I recommended Humble Pie to my friends already, when they visit the area. I would do the same for you!"
"Several years ago, I gave Humble Pie a five. Hate to do it, but it's a two now, and that might be generous. My wife and I have come here for years. We live in Clayton, and the pizza and wings were always worth the trip and cost. Lately, over the past 2 years, quality has really slipped. A little over a year ago, the first issue was with the wings being undercooked. Didn't change the rating then bc everyone can have a bad night (and thankfully, none of us got sick). We put in the oven and were able to fully cook them at home. Today though... 3 pizzas (1 medium, 2 large), and 8 wings. With a 15% tip on a call in order (we've always loved helping small establishments), this order came to $94.77. I can accept it when prices need to be raised due to the cost of supplies, but I expect good quality and service at least. Take a look at the pictures and ask yourself if this order was worth $94. On a pizza that had green pepper and sausage ($27 for this pizza), each slice has about 1 piece of sausage per slice and 1-2 slices of green pepper per. Again, I understand the cost per topping, and I can accept that. I have a hard time understanding $2.50 per ingredient when you're getting as little as they put nowadays. Dough: Maybe it's my memory, but I would swear in years past, the crust had more personality. These pizzas appear to be pre-made (they're too consistent to be handmade) like I remember. Wings: This is just sad and the primary frustration that led to this updated review. As you can see from the picture, one side of the wings are carbon (that's not a flavor choice). Who in their right mind made these, pulled them out from being cooked, must have seen them burnt and decided, "yup, that looks good to me." If you screw up, fix it. Don't send out 8 wings at $12.50 (upcharged us $0.25 for extra dressing request) burnt. I hate to say it, but we likely won't be back. For lack of better words, "it's you, not me, and we're just not into you anymore." This, tonight.... it was bad. It's a 2 bc the pizza still tasted fine. The 4 of us still had a nice dinner together, but feeling a bit shorted and ripped off. And before anyone says maybe they were busy and things happen, there were no people inside the building eating or waiting for pizza. Caveat emptor (buyer beware) ****Update: Kudos to Trey!!! First off, thank you. I left this review and also sent feedback through Square (the payment processing service). I left these reviews last night around 11pm and by 1214pm the next day, Trey replied. I don't think I need to give any details of how things were reconciled, but Humble Pie / Trey should be recognized for reading the reviews and responding in a constructive manner. I felt Trey addressed all my concerns and owned what happened. Moreover, I love that Humble Pie/ Trey took (and looking at previous reviews, takes) the time to respond to mine and others' comments. My experience, there aren't enough business going that extra mile, and when they do, that's big points in my book. Trey: Thanks again for reaching out to me on both platforms. I didn't want or expect you to resolve it the way you did, but it is very much appreciated. We all have bad days (myself included). The extra mile you went to address this and listen to feedback means a lot and very likely won back our patronage. Thanks again for handling this in a thoughtful and professional manner."
"We came here on the advice of a few locals. Nice little establishment. Great service. The food was good. I didn't care for the bbq sauce base of the hawaiaan pizza, but the crust was great and they were very generous with the toppings. My friends had the quesadilla and the meatball sub, which they said were good. The back patio has a great view."
