"Anytime we’re in Helen, or nearby we make a mandatory stop for a Fried Cheese Kabob. Fried cheddar, fried mozzarella and fried Brie, delicious!! and it comes with a pickle sauce. they offer the appetizer or entree, we always go for the entree and pick fries as the side. We’ve been many times and the waiting time range can be from 20 min to 1hr30 min. Call ahead to know what to expect."
"My wife and I dined here today just to have a light lunch. Overall it was good. The staff were great with assisting on any questions and were very friendly. The food gave us mixed opinions. We ordered the 2 bratwurst appetizer with sauerkraut and that I must say was amazing especially since I’m not one for kraut. It was quite delicious with the bratwurst and spicy mustard. The down side was the fried cheese kabob. For it to be famous fried cheese it was lacking in splendor. It was very bland and overpriced in my opinion. One of the main reasons we chose there for lunch was the “FAMOUS” fried cheese. Regardless overall we had a good experience and would still recommend because the bratwurst and kraut were delicious."
"Very disappointing. The reviews for this place are generally really good. Our experience quite the opposite. At 2p on a fall Saturday we waited just a few minutes to be seated at a table on the front porch (good for people watching). The waitress brought our menus soon after and took our drink order (Mullers has various flavored iced teas and other soft drinks, nothing alcoholic). We had iced tea and it was served promptly. My raspberry tea had very little juice in it. Sweet tea would be a better choice. They waitress checked with us a couple of times until we made our selections and then we took to watching people. It wasn't until we noticed other diners asking about their orders that we realized we had been sitting for 45 minutes. During that time the waitress never to check to see if we wanted a refill, let alone tell us that on Saturdays the typical wait time for your order is one HOUR. When served, the food was not worth the wait. We had better food that was served promptly at another restaurant the day before. I politely told the hostess about our experience. She charged us full price for our meal ($20/person). Do not eat here on Saturdays!"
"I've been coming here for years and it's been great to watch the business grow. Everything I've had is good. This time was the wonderful strudel with ice cream and the fried cheese appetizer. I love the covered front deck."
"Mmmm, fried cheese. Enjoyed a delicious brunch at Mueller’s on Saturday. We ate inside because the deck was busy – it is Oktoberfest - but our service was wonderful. It does take a little time to get your food when they are that busy, so I appreciated that they had a tent set up outside where you could grab a Bavarian pretzel, a bratwurst or some soup to tide you over until your meal came! I loved how they buttered and salted the pretzel right in front of me, and the sausage had a perfectly crispy casing over the tender meat. They have great coffees, teas, and lemonades. I had blackberry lemonade, and my husband enjoyed a pumpkin spice latte that was as cute as it was delicious. My fried cheese breakfast with cheddar was awesome. I mean, the place is known for fried cheese, so why would I be surprised? I got the cheddar and the light breading on it had so much flavor and the gooey cheese itself was awesome. The potatoes and eggs rounded out my meal. I also got the pancakes which were huge and fluffy. My husband had a chicken schnitzel meal, and the schnitzel was solid, but I’d say go for the fried cheese here for sure! I want to add again, our server was amazing. The sweetest young lady who made sure our glasses stayed full while we waited, and was always charming even while the restaurant was crazy busy."
