"I happened upon these wonderful people a couple of months ago. I was searching for a last minute tailor (with very little expectation of success) for my husband. He had purchased a bunch of button downs and slacks for work and then had lost a good bit of weight so all of his brand new stuff fit like a parachute. He was leaving town in three days for a major business trip and not looking forward to wearing very ill fitting clothes. I was ready to drive to another town if someone could help. I found Smoky Mountain Sewing in Franklin (amazing luck), sent a desperate message and got an immediate response from Jackie. We brought a pile of clothes down to her shop and immediately loved Jackie and Nick. She is a true professional and skilled at her trade. If the Smithsonian trusted her with their textile restoration then I certainly do too. She finished everything well before our deadline, and the work was amazing. A Master tailor is exactly what she is and I doubt that we could have found anyone else who could have done such fine work. Everything looked like it was custom made for my husband. They are all the more impressive because not only does Jackie do exceptional work, her shop is full of awesome vintage clothes. Nick has some beautiful photography available in the shop and Jackie and Nick also support other makers, local and not so local which I absolutely love.
