"New Years Eve dinner: reservations for 8:15, seated at 8:45. Totally ignored for 45 minutes once we were seated. Unfortunately, rating does not include negative stars. Finally someone delivered water to the table. We asked for a wine list and were given a bourbon list. Waitress was totally disinterested and uncaring. The soup was cold, even though one of our dining party members asked beforehand to make sure it was hot and was assured it would be. Meanwhile, it took 15 minutes for the server to tell us that they were out of the wine we ordered. We had to search for the pears in the pear salad. The salmon entree was very good, but not worth the pain we went through. The owner offered a weak apology and no recompense for the miserable service. Even a.symbolic discount of a mere 10% or less off the bill would have been appreciated. They should have been ready for New Years Eve and not laid the blame elsewhere. They are uncaring amateurs. We won't be back."
"Made reservations for NYE for 8 pm. Sat at the bar for 30 minutes because we arrived early and the bartender seemed very confused and frustrated. So that started the evening off….and then it got worse. Was seated at 7:45 but we sat for 45 minutes and no one even acknowledged that we were there! We had a table of 6 and 2 servers was passing our table getting orders etc. (1 of which we found out was the owner) and never looked our way. When my husband finally got tired of us all sitting and being ignored, and went up and complained to the male server (who was the owner) his comment was he thought the other waitress was serving us….really??? He said he was sorry and took our order. We asked if we could get some bread to hold us over for our meal and he said they do not have bread service on new years because they would not be able to keep up….oh my!! Then we ordered and got our food and big disappointment! Not worth the $50.00 per plate and definitely not worth the wait! Cold soup, a “deep fried potato patty” hard as a rock and could not eat, meat was not cooked as ordered and we could not even get salt and pepper even though we asked 3 times! Our plates were barely touched and he asked if we wanted to go boxes but we said no. You would have thought he would have questioned us about what he could do to make our experience better…but no the owner said nothing! The 6 of us will not be back! Bad experience and we all left hungry!!!!!"
"Lobster bisque was good but did get a couple clumps of roux. The fried Quail was my first time having it this way and was super interesting. The grits needs some love and salt or brown butter but super creamy amd served hot which was nice. The Quail was crispy and cooked well but again needed just a little love and salt. The Ossobuco Lamb was tender and very good. Risotto was super creamy and cooked well but the star of the show was the LAMB BACON!!!!! JUST WOW!. Sea bass is my favorite and it was their special but I didnt even finish it. A COLD red pepper sauce at the bottom, a potato cake that was horrible and the temperature was now cold and the fish smelled and tasted super fishy. I was so disappointed. I even asked if the sauce was supposed to be cold, and yes, it was. I ate the carrots and broccolini though. Enjoyed a cup of coffee and lemon cheesecake. The cheesecake was nice and lemony but didn't set all the way so it was a little watery. The sun was setting and the view was stunning."
"This was one of the worst dining experiences we have ever had. We booked a brunch for Mother's day and were excited to go with our mother who was here on holiday. It was a day that was supposed to be special. Bearing in mind, this place is trying to set a standard locally. I have to say we had a better experience in Cracker Barrel and IHOP. What we received as food was way overpriced, poor quality, and to make matters worse, the service was so under par it was laughable. Coffee was cold, then we asked for Cappuccino's instead and were given something that was anything but a Cappuccino. To make matters worse, the server said they made it with almond milk because that's what they had. We were never asked what type of milk we would like or made aware of any problem. I am the only one who likes almond milk. My family does now. There was nothing set out special for mother's day and we received better from other places that are not claiming to be high class and high quality. Now onto the meal, which was supposed to be a wonderful brunch. A mediocre omelet, which is exorbitant in cost considering all you get. No sides, nothing. The quality in Cracker barrel is far superior and has more value. Now I am not being mean when I make the comparison, but we eat out regularly in exceptional restaurants and I am happy to pay a good price as long as we get a dining experience. We added pancakes to our order which were also portrayed as something special and at the price of $14 plus any addition, you would expect them to be plated wonderfully with some decoration, saucer even a substantial amount. As you will see, we got 2 pancakes per portion with nothing else and that was $16 each for both orders for my wife and mother-in-law. The main meal was an excuse, as you will also see. One tiny omelet and nothing else.Just slapped on a plate. The coffees were terrible from the onset and were more reminiscent of a truck stop cafe. Now this is a place I was considering for an event, but that will not happen. As a journalist, I intend to write a more in-depth review in one of our news magazines. We paid 75 USD for something that would have been half the price with more value from Cracker Barrel or IHOP and though my in-law and wife enjoy those places; I do not. This was our mother's day, and that was not the experience I wanted to give my mother-in-law, whom I love very much."
"This place was an awesome experience. I arrived with high expectations, and they were exceeded. The steak was among the best I've ever had. My bourbon cocktail was out of this world. The wine pairing my server recommended was truly well matched with the meal. And speaking of the server, she was the perfect balance of attentive without hovering. But the best part was the view. I timed my visit to be there for the sunset; I'll let the pictures speak for themselves."
