"Love the train inside. If you like Cuban food this is the place for you. Quick service. Good variety. Clean and plenty of seating."
"This place is amazing. We had several things to eat and everything was great! The cuban sandwich was made to perfection. The real cuban bread and taste. The potato tostones relleno impressed me so much. The meat wastender, great flavor and good portion. We also had the tostones and those were awesome too. The service was beyond amazing. I think it was the owner that passed by our table and asked about the food and told us that he will soon have milkshake for sale. He brought us a complimentary peanut butter shake...uff...it was out of this world. We will definitely come back before we go back home to Nashville."
"Went to Don Lalo’s for the first time. Had Meat empanadas, croquettes. I had the Cuban de tampa sandwich and wife had the Chicken sandwich. We were hoping to have a new go to place before Performing Arts shows since Fatz Cafe closed but unfortunately this won’t be it. My wife’s sandwich was huge but the only chicken she found in it was a small dried out piece. The breading or potatoes used in the sandwich were extremely salty. The fries were decent. My sandwich was tasty but extremely salty as well. That being said, I generally do not add any salt to my meals, so if you generally would grab the salt shaker before tasting the food, this may be a place you enjoy. The empanadas were okay. The croquettes were supposed to be ham with cheese, they came out very dark in color and when I took a bite I could not see anything that resembled ham or cheese in the croquettes. It appeared to be some blenderized concoction that included more breadcrumbs than anything else. I have eaten Cuban food in many places before and thoroughly enjoyed it. Maybe we hit on an off night. Will probably try one more time but might try the pizza next time. I’m happy those who love this place have something they really enjoy but I’m likely going to keep looking."
