"This is located in Kimpton Arras hotel. Although their breakfast was fresh, it wasn’t worth the money knowing that there are other breakfast/brunch in downtown Asheville to go to aside from this place. French Toast - it doesn’t not give you that french toast taste - Think not enough egg to milk ratio for the french toast - so it tastes like a mild french toast. Bacon - Personal opinion its is the cheap bacon. Sausage - A little overcooked Potatoes - The best thing I probably had aside from the eggs Eggs - cooked well Overall, I would not revisit at least for breakfast."
"Interesting menu for restaurant week 2024. I wanted to like it but there’s some execution issues for a higher rating. Our lamb dish was cooked too dry and the wine didn’t quite go with the food. With their setup, I consider the restaurant more “casual dining” than fine dining. Overall, felt it to be overpriced. Better places to eat in Asheville at that price point."
"We came here for my wife's birthday and it was great. I wasn't expecting them to do anything special but was surprised when they didn't considering they asked about any special occasions. The food was terrific and the hostess was very nice to our son throughout dinner."
"Couldn’t have loved our dinner more! 10/10 The staff were so thoughtful by kicking off our meal with a champagne toast to celebrate our honeymoon… and it was only uphill from there! Everything from the salad, to the sides, and even the accompaniments to our entree’s were so delectable. Loved the drinks we had and the environment is simply stunning. Pictures do not do it justice in this instance! I wouldn’t be surprised if a lot of people miss this gem because it is inside the hotel Arras and not on the main street, but it is not something you want to skip over if you appreciate casual fine dining! Whenever we plan to visit Asheville next, Bargello will definitely be a reservation we make again"
"I really liked it. Everything was tasty, every sauce, shaving and sliver was a burst of flavor. I ordered an obvious goody, the short rib. But the tasting plates were excellent. They have a good Sangiovese wine, which is a plus for me. And their cocktails are works of art. Subtle and not sweet at all."
