Reviews
"None of us are huge bbq eaters but we saw how good the reviews were and how good the menu looked so we decided to try. Omg Francine that Mac and cheese omg. It was sooo good and my Mac attack burger was everything. Smokey wings were awesome, Everything was just great. Also all three of their house bbq sauces were tasty as well. I highly recommend this place to everyone"
"We’ve been a handful of times but never know what to expect. Service is hit or miss, just depends on the server you wind up with. When they’re not soggy, the fried pickles are great. The brisket also had a nice smoky flavor the last time we went."
"I have eaten at this BBQ restaurant many times over the past 10 years or so. The food and service are always excellent. I have thoroughly enjoyed everything I have eaten here. The restaurant is known for its porch seating over the creek, which is quite nice with natural ambiance. There is also a side porch that is dog friendly, which I utilized on this visit, as my dog was with us. This visit I was not in the mood for BBQ & had a side sampler. Wings are also considered a side. The collards were a bit spicy & flavorful. Mac-n-cheese very creamy. The wings were some of the most flavorful I have had. Coke products & excellent tea. Beer & wine selections also available. Parking is free, but not plentiful. There is a steep descent off of the main road onto a gravel parking lot. Two clean, single-stall restrooms. There is a great little antique & glass shop on premises as well. You can watch the artist create glass pieces & even make a special order. The shop accepts cash or check only. The restaurant accepts cards."
"Pleasant surprise finding such excellent BBQ in an unremarkable location. Literally everything my friends and I ordered was great. The meats were smoked perfectly and the seasoning was fantastic. The side dishes were great too. (I recommend the smoked wings as a side dish). Parking is not great, but if you happen to be in the location for for it!"
"The major thing that this place has going for it is its location. This restaurant is placed right next to a beautiful creek. The dining room is a screened porch offering gorgeous views and sounds of the creek. I hope you enjoy looking at the creek though, because you will be doing so for an hour plus. The service is very slow. The dining experience form being seated, served, and paying the bill took about 90 minutes. The food is decent. The pulled pork was a bit dry, the mac and cheese bland, and the slaw super wet. The sauces on the table are great though. After dousing the meat with half a bottle of sauce, it went down pretty well."
