"Hands down the best country food ever! The staff were so friendly and atmosphere was warm. They have a little gift shop and we purchased the hoodies which were definitely worth it. I can’t wait to try this place again on our next travels to Asheville."
"Amazing entrees, fantastic service and consistent delicious food. The apple butter alone is worth going here for. The white gravy is OUTSTANDING!!!! Always eat here when we come home to Asheville!!"
"Moose Cafe is a great way to start your day. They serve a fresh, delicious breakfast. They are open for lunch and dinner as well. The portions are very generous. We got to enjoy a beautiful view of the mountains and had friendly and attentive service."
"Friendly staff, great food, clean surroundings! The bit i loved the most was when you sit down at breakfast, you automatically get greeted by your server with water & fresh hot homemade biscuits! Before you even order. It's paired with what seems to be a cinnamon applesauce spread. It was lovely. We went a couple times during our vacation stay. Will def go back!"
"We visited Moose Cafe in Asheville on a Saturday morning since quite a few other well-rated breakfast restaurants in the area were busy, and it was an average experience. We were seated promptly, and a server came over to our order promptly as well. We got coffees—they were the usual diner coffees, the vegetarian omelette(which comes with a biscuit and a side)—the omelette was quite bland and could’ve used a bit more spice/taste, the honey glazed cayenne chicken with grits and eggs—which was another letdown. The grits were quite bland and the chicken was pretty one-dimensional too. The complimentary biscuits with apple butter tasted great. The server was quite kind and polite. The place was quite busy considering it was a Saturday morning. They only have inside seating and there’s a big parking lot outside. There’s a small shopping area inside and there was artwork for sale from local artists(I presume) on the walls. Also the crowd in the restaurant wasn’t very diverse. Being a person of color, I received quite a few stares, which made me feel uncomfortable. While this isn’t exactly a comment on the restaurant, I felt they could do a bit better with themes of inclusivity. I’d wager there are much better breakfast restaurants in Asheville and if you can find one, you can skip The Moose."
