"The Dollar general on East Broadway says it is open until 9:00 pm , but they got the doors locked at 845 pm on August 17th 2023. Bad for business on a new store that just open . I will take my business to Family Dollar Store."

"Unfortunately today, this DG location was my second stop. I stopped at the Rockford location and they refused to help with diaper coupons even though they only had one small pack of diapers. But they acted like there was nothing they could do. I dropped all my intended purchases and headed to the E Broadway location. No only did they go about and beyond to accommodate me and the coupons, they also used another coupon to save me even more money. Heather really went above and beyond to make sure I was satisfied. And in turn, I will never go to any other dollar general. Heather deserves to be commended on her incredible customer service skills. I hope the higher-ups can see the value In these types of employees and reward them accordingly. Thanks again Heather for doing what other stores refused to do."

"They left 4 boxes of opened rib sandwiches in there freezer all day. I told first and second shift they were sitting there opened. I went back that night and they were still sitting there. The same lady i told on second shift was still there that night and she didnt take them out and discard them. Disgusting. That employee will be responsible for someone getting sick."

"This location is pathetic now. The freezer has been down for almost 4 months. In the past month the store has been trashed 7 out of 10 times I've been there. All the neighbors are talking about it the management is now rude. One of the new managers told a customer today that he's supposed to ask before getting cash back. They had signs up before but she had taken them down she said because no one reads them and he said well I do read signs and your son is down and I'm not going to play 20 Questions when doing business at this store. Caitlin is excellent these other managers are scatterbrains they aren't doing their jobs things are not in the right places boxes are clogging Isles this store has gone all to hell!"

"Changing my review as I had a great experience tonight. A manager noticed my review and spoke with us tonight to clear things up. It's nice to see that dollar general is allowing a change (weeding out the bad) vs sucking it up because they can't find employees. This manager has made sure we were happy and if any issues arise to speak with her. I do appreciate it a lot she came out of her way to let us know."
