Meatballs Pizzeria

"What a hidden gym! I have gotten out of the habit of leaving reviews, unless a restaurant has angered me. But oh my! This place is great. I had the supreme pizza. The crust was perfect with just the right amount of char. I loved the fresh cut Parmesan cheese. Toppings were plentiful and the pepperoni had that perfect curl from being baked. People complaining that the crust is burnt are ignorant to the fact the establishment is following food safety guidelines. You have to get food to a safe serving temperature of 165 degrees. That’s going to happen in a true wood fired oven. My only complaint, if it could be called one, is the pricing on the menu was a little confusing. It doesn’t tell you what the sizes are. There are two sizes a slice and a whole. I wish it would have been broken down clearly for a knuckle dragger like myself. I plan on visiting again!"

"This is a smallish, rustic pizza establishment. The staff were friendly and helpful. You order at the counter and then they bring the pizza to your table. The pizza is cooked in a wood fire grill which gives it a wonderful smokey taste. If you don't want burnt edges, you should definitely let them know. I ordered the meatball pizza by the slice, which was just the right amount. It came sprinkled with fresh basil which was just perfect!"

"Stopped in this place after passing it on many trips to Sylva… but it fell flat. The staff did what was expected but weren’t overly warm and friendly. I get the casual atmosphere with the walk up order vs coming to the table.. but add that to get your own water (no ice), plates, cups, and silverware, and get your food from the counter, just added to the distance of the staff interaction. The Meatball Pizza was wonderful (and the only reason for 3 stars)! Very unique and flavorful, love the shape of this pizza! In sharp contrast was the Margherite we ordered. ALLLL sauce, absolute minimal cheese and basil (see pic), no taste, and just shocked that the same staff could have made these and thought it was worthy of sending out."

"Breath of fresh air as far as pizza goes in Sylva! First time and and we were pleasantly surprised. Good selection of Innovation beers and unique pizza combinations. The Porco pizza was stellar!"

"I have a very high standard for pizza. We stopped in for some slices. They were flavorful and a generous size. I’m not a fan of the amount of cheese as well as how much they melt the ingredients into the cheese. Also, the crust was just a little burnt in some spots. The peanut butter pie was very good."
