"A lot to say about this place. But, to make it short and sweet I'll say that the tomato soup and grilled cheese was phenomenal. Liked to taste some of the wines, but the cranberry orange blossom was perfect. The view, the history and the atmosphere of this place is definitely worth visiting (even if it's a quick lunch). I absolutely loved the hummus, too. Nala and I can't wait to return."

"Will return & highly recommend. Had the shrimp & grits & would order again. Ordered fries & they had such a perfect flavor I didn't need salt, pepper, or ketchup. The staff was great & gave us a mini wine tasting & we enjoyed that too. Enjoyed people watching on the patio & they are dog friendly. Lots of locals here. Think we'll be back soon with the whole family for my birthday! Came back for my birthday. Was a little disappointed that the 2 chicken burgers were switched (one was to be well done, the other normal) & for some reason the regular cheeseburger was also well done. I had shrimp & grits again & it was delicious!"

"Cute spot next to the river. I can see it getting crowded during warm weather, especially with the outdoor seating. I ordered the rainbow bowl and a side of fries (because why not??), and sat outdoors with a heat lamp and a view of the river. I could’ve done without the fries because the bowl was surprisingly filling, and so tasty! Will definitely come back when the weather gets warmer and the evenings are longer."

"One of the most unique places to eat, shop or stay. They have a hotel with 4 or 5 welll thought out rooms. Whether it's just one person or a family with a dog, you can find a great room that will fit your needs! With amazing views! Literally just steps away from food, drinks, downtown, and the amazing outdoors The store that they have is small but have a great selection of items. The restaurant is fantastic. They have great selection of food and drinks. From coffee to beer they have it. No hard alcohol. There's six beers on tap mostly local and seasonal beers, they also have cans of beer to include ciders. Let's talk food, they had something for everyone. Berger, sandwiches, salads, and more. I had the brased pork and pimento grits that was fantastic. This dish is perfect in size and the flavors are balanced. It was just a little salty, but it wouldn't stop me from enjoying it again! My wife had the papy ban Apple sandwich with the honey beat salad. From the bun to the cole slaw, the entire sandwich was fantastic! The beat salad is a must have! Cooked perfectly with great flavor and the cheese topped it off just right."

"Beautiful spot along the river; delicious food, excellent beers, and super friendly staff. I really enjoyed my dinner overlooking the French Broad river and reading all the little messages on the bricks. Beautiful brick work all around! What a special little spot, in a special little town! Can’t wait to go back!"
