"Excellent service! I replaced the front struts, which requires realignment. I originally took it to Firestone in Hickory (where I have lifetime alignments). They had it all screwed up, so I took it back. They did it again, but it still wasn't set correctly. Steering wheel was a few degrees left when driving straight, car was hunting a lot too. I decided to give Main Street a try, after speaking with one of their employees, a neighbor of mine. He insured me that they would aligned it properly. I requested the camber to be set to 0°, to reduce tire wear by giving the tires a flat contact patch. They did just that, no fuss, no excuses (Firestone did not and in fact told me it couldn't be set to 0°). After Main Street completed the job, I drive the up hi-way 16 to 18 and back to Taylorsville on 90. The car drives absolutely beautiful now. Main Street is a perfect example of a shop that does the job correctly. Thank you guys and God Bless."

"I've waited awhile before passing judgment because mistakes happen but after today, I know for a fact they are a rip-off. My wife took her car for a grinding noise and vibration and they told her it'd be $700 for the work. Passenger CV axle and sway bar end link. It was higher than the quote she got from another mechanic by $200 but they could have it done faster. Fine. We get the car back and the grinding noise is gone but the vibration is as bad as ever. We took the car back twice and they told us they couldn't find the problem either times and to bring it back when it got worse. (It was a bad vibration, any worse itd be on a roll-back.) After 2 unsuccessful diagnosis' later, we took it to another mechanic. He found the problem before hed even gotten the car all the way up on the lift. He said it need the OTHER CV axle replaced. The boot was blown and grease all over the underside. Same job, just the other side. He charged 200 dollars, and the car drove like new, problem fixed. Today, I got a quote to see what it would cost to do an AC compressor on my car. Its an easy job that I could do, but the tools to recharge the system correctly are expensive, other than that, its one bolt for the belt tensioner, and 6 bolts for the compressor. They told my it would be $480 just for the labor. I told them i could get the compressor and bring it to them. They told me labor would be over $100 extra if I brought my own part. Seems like a rip-off to me, but i asked what if they get the part. They told me it would be $500 for the same part from Advance that I already checked on and know for a fact is $280. I know now that I've been getting ripped-off and I wont be spending more money here. Ill get my tires from Sigs and get my work done at Mooses Garage. Stop letting them rip you off too."
