Puerto Nuevo

"We use to go to the Puerto Nuevo in Banner Elk until it closed due to the fire. It’s clearly taken us some time to ck out the Newland location. We were not disappointed- even saw some of the staff that use to be in @ BE location. Food and service was great. They always have pretty large portions so we always have leftovers. I love the salsa bar. Decor is nice. This location is bigger than it looks from the outside. Looks like we will be driving into Newland more often now :-)"

"Busy but we were able to get a table on a Thursday night (noticed 10-15 minute wait for others). This is one of 4 PN restaurants, we frequent the Spruce Pine one. This one was also very good. Tried various Mexican specialties: Apollo Funtastico, 3 meat quesadilla, ala-cart burrito. Had leftovers."

"Small restaurant but big taste! When you are seated they give you chips and this delicious salsa. The food was delicious and prices were very reasonable. Kids menu is good too the kids loved it! Definitely recommend if in the area!"
