"Very small mom and pop dinner. Building is run down and tables are wobbly and you go outside to get to restroom but food is really good and very friendly. Get a lot of tourists being next to the fudge shop and Maybry Mill. There are some cool shops around it as well."

"Worst dining experience EVER. I understand that businesses are having trouble getting help, but please train the help you do have to work more effectively. We met with utter chaos the moment we entered the restaurant. No one explained the procedures and what we could expect. People who arrived after us got served before us because they were demanding and overbearing. When we finally got our food, we had to wait forever for silverware. Forget about drink refills or getting napkins. Then there was no one at the counter to take care of our bill. We waited for what seemed like an eternity for someone to take our money. It was such a horrible, stressful experience."

"Excellent restaurant. Homestyle cooking and a good menu. 3 of us had the special....baked chicken, greens, and black-eyed beans. I had the berry cobbler as a fruit appetizer and the lemon meringue pie for dessert. It was the best lemon pie I ever had. The meringue was soft and creamy but held its shape perfectly. I highly recommend this restaurant"

"This is a must visit if you're on the Blue Ridge Parkway near the Mabry Mill. Located in the quaint little town of Meadows of Dan, James offers up a variety of food options. I especially enjoyed the Reuben on my last visit. This time I had the double cheeseburger and the chili fries. Both were excellent. Come eat at this cafe and have a shop at the market next door. If you like the quintessential Appalachia town experience the Jane's Country Cafe 100% recommend"
