Reviews of Mountain Cheers Grill Haus
"Visited today for the first time with some friends to celebrate my birthday. We all had a great time and Nichole was a fantastic bartender and server. Everyone was really nice and friendly. We filled up on appetizers so we didn't try the mains, but the onion rings, poppers, and wings were excellent. So glad to have a place to relax with a beer in Mountain City. Thanks!"
"A wonderful treat to have drinks and dinner in the Mountain City area. Awesome ambiance, cool vibe, and super friendly staff. We visited on music Thursday which added to the joy. Solid food done very well with a surprising amount of vegetarian options for the location. Much recommended!"
"Service and hospitality was fantastic, and the restaurant had a wonderful country, patriotic vibe. The barrel sink in the bathroom was a neat touch. Would highly recommend. Eric/karly...from VA"
"This place has a lot of potential and was recently opened. The atmosphere is great, the service was very good, and the food was good. I will detail a few suggestions for the owners to take this place to a 5 star, and after some time, I’ll make a trip again and update my review accordingly. 1. Get some real top shelf liquor. JW Black or Blue, Macallen 12 or 18, Woodford Reserve, Clase Azul, etc. Spend some time on YouTube and other places and have the barkeep fine tune the cocktail skills. The old fashioned I had was amateur, but with a bar that well stocked, and potentially better stocked with higher dollar spirits, the quality will match the great decor and atmosphere 2: burgers. If mayo isn’t listed on the ingredients on a build your own, definitely do not put it on there. Despite ordering medium, it was very well done and dry. I’m not sure if the patty was pre made or hand made, but it should be hand made, and there was definitely enough employees there to have some additional help in the kitchen vs having them sit around waiting for something to happen. The fries were excellent, as were the mozzarella sticks. The presentation was classic American diner. Top marks all around, and I could tell the lettuce, tomato, and bacon were good ingredients. Well done there, just some fine tuning on the meat prep and cooking and you’ll be there. 3: service. I can tell this is a new restaurant and everyone is settling into their roles. This is fine! However, some tips for improvement: come to the table prepared to take the order, and don’t wait to be asked for suggestions… just give them. Apply some salesmanship. Have the barkeep suggest spirit and cocktail pairings with each burger or food item. Pay attention to the table, don’t just sit staring blankly around or spend time on the phone. Stay on top of the guests and make them understand that they are your top priority. These are my suggestions for improvements. Mountain City desperately needs good restaurants with good people running them. This place gives me a lot of hope, and has a ton of untapped potential. Push forward, keep making improvements, and I genuinely wish this place the best and look forward to retuning in the near future. Thank you!"
"Simply delicious, great drinks, very friendly service. Even with a temporarily limited menu and staff in training, our first visit was great. We will be back!"
