"I was measurably disappointed that I was refused a COVID test (by Dr Singh) despite all my symptoms - especially after I made it clear I would be attending and speaking at a funeral service for my aunt in 2 days. I was extremely concerned that I could possibly spread COVID to others in such a close setting with so many older, sickly adults in attendance. I just didn't understand the harm in providing the test. BUT, I rate Dr Shmuel 10 stars. She is the best doc I have ever had. She possesses all the qualities you would want in a doctor. Patient, interested, compassionate. smart, great bedside manner, superior communicator, and much more. AND, she is always smiling. NEVER sucking on lemons and acting disinterested like so many other docs. So so happy I found her."
"Children playing doctor. That's all it is here. I went there with a real problem and they refused to help me. I placed a complaint as high as I could go, but they never did anything about it even though they said I was right. These doctors are there for themselves only and do not care about patients whatsoever. Most of the students that are playing doctor there don't even know how to show empathy. They are there to make themselves better, not the patients. Their motto should be "doctors first""
"Virtua primary care. This is my first visit to a NJ pcp as im from FL, i was told it was a resident training location when making the appointment which i appreciated and am receptive to. I have a professional background in the medical multi specialties, and I must say i was very impressed with the attention and actual "LISTENING " that Dr. Tessitore exhibited during my initial visit. For a change i actually felt like a Doctor heard what i was saying and i was not just another chart number. I am looking forward to Dr. Tessitore being my PCP for many years to come even after his 3 year residency is complete. The support staff from front desk to intake nurse's as well were not only helpful, but suprisingly actually seemed to not only enjoy their positions but also have a recognition of existing patients on a personal and individual basis. I was very impressed with the care and attention paid to the pediatric patients and the lab philobimist was impressive and engaging as well."
"Love my doctor, but unfortunately he is leaving the practice soon. I would have left this office a long time ago if I didn’t like the doctor so much. Now that he is leaving I am leaving ASAP. It is a nightmare to call the office. You’re on hold forever and then when you finally get someone the people who answer are always so confused by the simplest things and out of it. Like, how are you so confused by this job. I get that they may have to deal with difficult people/issues and are busy and all, but nothing I ever call about is complex. I don’t understand the problem. It’s like it is always their first day. Dealing with the office staff in person is also a nightmare. More confusion and unprofessional attitudes. Checking out, which should be quick and easy, is dreadful. The last time I was in I had a very nice, competent medical assistant. But, on a few occasions an older blonde woman was the medical assistant who took me back. It’s unbelievable how rude and nasty she is. I’m not a rude or difficult patient and it’s extremely annoying to receive that kind of treatment. I cannot wait to go to a different office where people know what they’re doing and I don’t have to deal with nasty, short attitudes."
"They were able to fit me in next-day when I had an important health issue -- and especially in times like these, that was very much unexpected and appreciated. Dr. Sarmiento is a wonderful doctor; she acted professionally, was very kind, was informative and thorough, and made me feel very comfortable. The rest of the office staff were also very kind and helpful. Additionally, I was surprised how speedy I was seen -- once I arrived for my appointment; within 10 minutes I was with the doctor, and within 30-40 I was out the door with my next appointment scheduled. I am really glad that I came across them on my search for a new primary care provider. It was a smooth experience and I look forward to continue using them."
