Reviews of The Center for Ambulatory Surgery
"I was very impressed with the staff and their ability to connect with their patients and family. My sister had shoulder surgery, nurses Meghan and Lynn were kind, informative, accommodating, and understanding of our needs and concerns. Dr. Gallick was informative and a true professional. This is a 5 stars facility. Thank you for all you did to make my sister, her husband, and I feel welcomed and comfortable with her procedure and the services you provided."
"There aren’t enough words or space here to convey how well I was taken care of at this center. The only name I remember from pre-surgery is my nurse Stephanie, who was out of this world phenomenal and the admin that got me set up the day before, Lisa, who was so wonderful, patient, and kind. There’s at least 10 names that I don’t recall or didn’t get but every single one of them was friendly, warm, and kind. If you are given a choice for where to have your outpatient surgery, this place is five star. If I’m ever in the unfortunate situation, where I need surgery again, this will be where I choose to go."
"Doctor Michaella Prashad and her staff Mrs. Lynn and Shina are absolutely amazing. They are all so professional and made us feel so comfortable, I highly recommend this facility and there phenomenal staff, thank you all for making my 4 year old son feel fantastic."
"The staff were very nice and my surgeon did a good job, but my surgery was delayed by over an hour and because of that I felt rushed to leave. I wasn't fully cognizant before they were asking me to get in a wheel chair so they could bring me outside to get picked up. I had a lot of questions about after care that I could barely ask, nothing was explained to me and I had to call them several times once I got home. As it turns out I was given some misinformation over the phone that my surgeon said could have a negative impact on my recovery. They asked me to bring the crutches I would need after the surgery, I assumed so that they could adjust them for me and show me how to use them, but they did not and I ended up having a literal stranger a few days later tell me that I was using them incorrectly and show me how to safely use them. I also was extremely nauseous from anesthesia and expressed that I didn't feel comfortable leaving and repeatedly asked if there was anything they could do for the nausea before forcing me into a car and having motion sickness and they just gave me a plastic bag to vomit in. Additionally as they wheeled me out I kept asking for my jacket and telling them I had to go to the bathroom. They brought me all the way outside before the person who picked me up insisted they help me to the bathroom and helped me put a jacket on. I'm not sure what happened there that morning but there were several of us who were told to arrive at 6am for our 730am surgeries and weren't pulled out of the waiting room until 8, and remember my surgeon being irritated about the delay. I think if they weren't behind schedule they may not have been rushing me out of the recovery room and I would have had a better experience. I always give places the benefit of the doubt with issues that arise but I felt as a patient in an extremely vulnerable state I should have been given a bit more care to where I felt safe and comfortable to go home and it's a shame that the nurses were under pressure to get me out of that bed as fast as possible. I wish that when I voiced my concerns about being unable to use crutches, being unclear on how to take care of myself following the surgery, feeling ill, needing to use the restroom, and being wheeled outside in winter weather with no coat those concerns were addressed."
