Reviews of Primary Care Medical Group
"Great people, long wait times, and varying quality of care. The biggest problem here is the wait time. Whether you arrive as a walk-in or have a scheduled appointment, expect to wait 30-90 mins to be seen. Lunch (11:30AM-1 PM) is the worst time to arrive as the doctors go on break. Weekday mornings you'll be seen in 30-60mins on average. Afternoons 3 PM- 5 PM expect to wait at least an hour. The staff is kind, friendly, and generally willing to listen and accommodate any needs you may have. The attending physician changes each day and the quality varies. Most of the examination basics are done by the nurses who are very kind. Dr. Mary Bentivenga, is by far the nicest and most down to earth of the doctors. She'll go the extra mile in trying to figure out what is ailing you and offering affordable solutions. Not sure if she's still here as she hasn't been around my last few appointments. Dr. Monica Rendon may have replaced her. Dr. D'Agostino is very to the point and consultations with him are quick. He won't spend a lot of time examining you or asking questions. It can feel almost dismissive at times. He's very efficient at diagnosing and treating common ailments, but not the best if you have a unique situation or rare case that requires a lot of explanation. Dr. Ardolino is somewhere between the two. He can also be very quick and to the point, but will generally take more time to talk to you. He spends more time on general examinations than Dr. D'Agostino. Dr. Fontanazza appears to have retired and is no longer attending at this location. Hours are officially 8 AM to 7 PM M-F. They don't seem to have Saturday appointments consistently, but they used to be 9 AM-1 PM Saturday. Times are subject to change based on when the doctors are in. Visits without insurance are usually $80, with insurance they vary from $0-$120 depending on your carrier."
"8:04 am someone came in to open the door. There were 5 of us patients waiting so we fall in line by the receiving window. No one there. One of the nurses came in at 8:16am and yelled at us, “ Will you all take a seat first! Her face was angry and unwelcoming. Thats is very rude. Hours are posted as 8:am to open. Meaning ready to receive patients. Now if you are not ready dont take it from us. We come in sick and waiting for you. It is not our fault you are having a bad day! Is this how you want to be treated when you dont feel well!? I left while the other patients are still waiting to be helped."
"This place can go either way but the majority of my experiences here had been unpleasant to say the least. Depending on the day you will either get a helpful nurse or one that is just very bitter and rude. I always come super early because there is usually a wait time and whenever I try to make an appointment it’s either that they can’t do it and I have to come the next day. I have waited for a good 3 hours and was the second person that was waiting on “this line” just to be given a five second talk about going to the pharmacy to get some medication and if i can’t get it i have to come back to them...."
"If there was a provision for -ve 5 star review I would have given that. 1. Horrible and dirty premises and facility. One can get infections while waiting for the doctor in the lobby as well as in the checkup room. chairs have stains all over. 2. Longest waiting time you can ever have to meet doctors who have an average rating of 1.7 3. None of the doctors show interest in listening to your problems. They are in a rush to push you off and simply refer you to a specialist (its better to go to a specialist yourself rather than paying copay here) 4. I have met 3 or 4 doctors in total and they all are equally horrible 5. You return with a very negative vibe from the place overall. STRONG RECOMMENDATION - NEVER EVER VISIT THIS PLACE"
