"Getting someone to pick up the phone is the first problem. The person answering never has any idea what’s going on, and therefore, takes your number and says they will call you back. They do not. The doctor himself is nice, but the staff is critically unprepared in almost every way. They mess up appointment day and times, they are awful at picking up the phone during business hours and you’ll have to wait 6 to 8 weeks to get an appointment. I was given a CPAT machine and told I’d have to go into the office for a mask fitting and I would receive two masks. I go in and the staff says they don’t fit masks anymore and that it is only one mask. The lady recommended a mask and when I tried it at home it didn’t fit. Took 2 weeks to get someone to answer the phone (calling 2-3 times per day). Left several messages and never received a call back. Finally managed to get someone on the phone and they said they had to call me back because they didn’t know how to schedule me for another fitting and needed to talk to someone first. Never called me back. About a week goes by and I finally got through to someone only to find out the appointment was 8 weeks away. Appointment day comes and they call me to reschedule because the person called out that day. I had to wait another month to get a new appointment. So about 4 months go by where I’m paying 135.00 a month for the machine I haven’t been able to use yet. I go in for the appointment and they tell me i can’t get a new mask for another 2 months, unless I pay 200.00 for it. So I pay the ridiculous amount for a different mask, which I’m not allowed to open or try on to see if it’s the correct size. The lady said it would fit, again, and began to explain they don’t do fittings anymore since Covid. Apparently they can’t be bothered with cleaning the samples to ensure they fit their patients, or better yet, come up with a solution to make sure the equipment they are SELLING actually fits. I go home only to find out it doesn’t fit, it’s too small. They are horribly irritating to deal with. Takes 2 more weeks to get an appointment which is 6 weeks out. The day before the appointment they call me to say I have to see the doctor before I can get another mask. I explain to them there isn’t anything to discuss because I haven’t started using the machine yet. There’s no sleep data to go over and I’m not paying 70.00 to see the doctor when there isn’t anything to discuss. I asked them to explain to the doctor my situation and how after 6 months I STILL haven’t used the machine. She said she would call me back, which she did not. After about a week I finally get someone on the phone and they said I have to make an appointment with the doctor, 7 weeks out, to discuss the situation. Dr. Epstein’s office is highly unprofessional, incompetent when dealing with patient’s, and the staff is just awful at everything it seems. They are so bad and irresponsible, it’s difficult to believe it’s a doctor office. It’s just comical at this point. The office isn’t even clean and tidy, which one would expect a doctor office to be. It’s just so weird dealing with them. Good luck if you give them a try, it just seems like they all need training lol."

"I have a sleep disorder, in which I always want to sleep. I have been having problems staying awake. I went to see Dr.Epstein and he truly showed he cared. Instead of just adding more meds. He recommended following up with other doctors and getting blood work done to determine if there is something else causing my issues. I’ve been through the medical system since 93’. I’d rather have a doctor do some research then just easily throw medication at me. He is incredibly caring, and sits and talks about the symptoms I’m experiencing. I highly recommend him."

"Dr. Epstein was very knowledgable and kind. He spent a lot of time with me explaining my test results, which the doctor who originally ordered them did not, and talking about my different options for treatment. The only downside is it took me about 2 months to get an initial appointment, but everyone seems to be booked out these days."

"I waited a year to get an initial consult. I waited four weeks after the test for results. I couldn't get any answers until I called the office. My results had been in, but they can't give me any information whatsoever until I scheduled a formal follow-up. How long before the follow up with the doctor? Eight weeks. Really? Is this even ethical for people who are struggling with sleep deprivation? I'm disappointed and unhappy."

"I would not see this doctor! My husband had a sleep apnea test on 10/28. As of Dec 2, the office has not yet given him the results. He has called multiple times and the practice does not even pick up the phone. When he had received a call back they tell him that they are booked for at least 2 months and he can only receive his test results through an in person appt. He has left messages for the doctor and he has never received a return call."
