"Dr Schiavone is the best of the best ! The Staff always goes above and beyond. I have been a patient at this practice for over 20 years."
"I have always received an appointment at the time, best available for me. The Dr. always listens as well as has real honest conversations re: you and your healths needs."
"Dr. Schiavone has been our family physician since 1992 and he's simply the best. Unfortunately, due to insurance issues I was forced to switch to Advocare in Berlin. The doctor (Christopher Colopinto) I am seeing is very thorough as well as pleasant to deal with. However, the staff/ front desk/reception (unlike Dr. Schiavone's staff) leaves a lot to be desired. In contrast, Dr. Schiavone's staff is usually accessible; if not they will return phone calls promptly. In sum, I miss the personal attention to my medical needs and I am switching back to Dr. Schiavone. If there were more stars I would give them!"
"Dr. Schiavone is the absolute worst doctor I have ever been to. I rarely need to see a general practitioner, I don’t usually get sick or injured. I’ve been to this office twice before and Dr. Heck seemed nice. I do have an endocrinologist that I see regularly. I thought I slept wrong one night and my shoulder was painful but I wanted to see if it would pass. It got worse, and I was leaving the following week on a trip that required a 5 hour plane ride. I called the office and they told me to go to urgent care. So instead I went to acupuncture to see if that would help. I tried 2 treatments and it didn’t. So I went to urgent care and they told me to go to the Emergency Room since they thought it was a pinched nerve in my neck. At this point the pain was all down my arm as well and my fingers were numb in less than a week. They gave me a shot, a steroid pack, muscle relaxers, tylenol 3 and lidocaine patches to get me through my trip. They also said to follow up with a orthopedic doctor that is was a pinched nerve. I came back and went to make an appointment with a specialist who wanted me to get an MRI first and to get the referral from my GP. I called the office and talked to someone in the referral office who said they would do it. Four days later I hadn’t heard anything so I called back and they were surprised no one had contacted me. The day I requested it they noted that I needed to be seen by the doctor before they could give the referral. So no one called back for 4 days! And now they want to see me after not wanting to initially. (gotta get their cut i suppose). Then they cant see me for a month?! I tell them that’s not acceptable and then ok in a week and a half so I take it. The visit was a disaster, I saw Dr. Schiavone. First thing he wants to know is why they aren’t managing my diabetes and thyroid. Uh, because I go to a specialist? And that’s not why I’m here? I tell him my pain is an 8 and he proceeds to put the cuff on my bad arm! Seriously? He was rude, nasty and unhelpful. I asked what he could do and he said to take the steroids again. Really? You want to manage my diabetes and you want me to take another round of steroids two weeks apart? What an idiot. So he says he’ll submit the referral but they’ll probably deny it but he’ll try. Gee, thanks. So I leave with not much resolution but he asked if I had any more of what the hospital gave me and I said no because it was only to get me through my trip. Visit over, he was out the door and gone in his car in less than three minutes. I look at my visit summary and it says to continue taking the muscle relaxers and tylenol three along with the steroids. So I figure that will help until I get to the ortho. Go to pick up the prescriptions and steroids, thats it. I called the office 3 days in a row and tell them he has it in the visit summary but it wasn't at the drugstore. They told me the doctor hasn’t listened to his messages yet! For 3 days?! Lets not lie please, I’m not stupid, and if he really doesn't listen to his messages in that amount of time no one should want him as their doctor. Two more days go by and the MA calls back and says the doctor denies the request. LOL what a jerk. I have never requested pain pills in my life and yet this guy treats you like your a degenerate and he’s the one who wrote it in the summary! After I even told them I went to acupuncture to manage the pain first. I wouldn’t send anyone here they are unprofessional and not very knowledgeable. Oh and of course the MRI was denied, because the doctors report didn’t warrant an MRI. Of course. So over 2 months of pain, possible permanent damage at this point and no sleep because of an incompetent doctor. I will be following up with Cooper to tell them what an awful doctor he is."
"Both Doctors offer great services with an intimate care for patients well being. I have been a patient for 30 years and have visited many different doctor offices for various reasons (usually locality) however I always end up going back to my doctors that care about my health and treat me as family. Doctor Heck is my primarily but I don't mind seeing doctor Schiavone if Heck is not available. Both are great and highly recommend!"
