"Sad to have to do this. But after being turned away 3 times for a sick visit for a 5 month old I had to pull out of the practice. End of the story is my son has RSV DAY 7. Never diagnosed. Downplayed. The first day of his illness “no sick appointments” ok so I brang him to urgent care. Limited to what they can do he was on Epi, steroids and a nebulizer. And had to follow up with pediatrician. Fever. Low oxygen etc. Called ped next Day. No appointment yet again. Had to argue my way in. Dr saw him played off as crupe and “no follow up needed come back for his vaccines next week looks great”. Well day 5 comes. My sons taking a turn for the worst. Called the on call dr says bring him in tomorrow give us a call. I do so. Again. No sick appointments. How are you an office with NO APPS? I call a new Dr. Explain. Immediately want to see him. They swab him for rsv. Positive. Sent me with a nebulizer and seeing him again in 3 days and antibiotics. They were in shock at my original office. They said had he been treated he would be on the mend. Not getting worse. So to protect my child I had to do this. They also were going to vaccinate him being this sick. Horrifying New Dr said we need to wait for him to recover to even make an appt for vaccines. So now I have my 5 month old on steroids. Albuterol through a nebulizer and antibiotics. Very disappointed in how this practice is run. I work in health care. I am over booked all day triple booked but I have to see my sick patients. Same should go for PEDS especially !! I feel my child’s health was not taken seriously and I don’t want to hear go to the ER that’s what they should be here for. To HELP. truly disgusted but thankful my boys on the mend. Just sad he suffered longer than need be when he could have been treated. Aside from hearing over the phone “go by a steamy shower”"
