Reviews of Green Planet
"Tenzin, the owner is very knowledgeable with supplements especially those that can help the immune system. Sure, maybe the prices are a bit more than a large chain, but that's because the large chains have more buying power. Having a local shop owner in the health food business is priceless these days and I'm glad Green Planet is still there for a quick organic green juice, or maybe something to help you get over a cold/flu or similar."
"Great variety of vitamins and supplements. I buy bulk organic foods here such as nuts, beans, dried fruits and granola. Fresh organic produce and snacks. Wonderful organic smoothies. Friendly , knowledgeable staff. Open late for customer convenience. Highly recommend."
"Vitamins and organic juice bar-I think only of it’s kind in this area. Kind owner. Wonderful selection of health food store. 12 years and running, family owned and operated."
"These are the nicest people who work here and every time I come, I have great conversations with the people who work here. The bulk bins are really nice...only place I know locally where you can get those products in bulk bins. Overall a great place to get high quality health products. They are expensive, but so is rent in NYC. Tell me where you can get cheap organic products in an expensive neighborhood in this city? Also whoever said they didn't feel comfortable here, not sure what your problem is. Look inward."
"Overpriced (or should I say gentrified prices?). Very limited selection of products and brands, don't carry essential oils and when asked about it they said "on the next shipment" and that never seems to arrive cause I keep checking and nothing is there. Prices are 25-50% more than other local stores and even chain stores such as whole foods. I think a Health Food Store should be a business with the intention to bring good healthy choices to their customers. Green Planet doesn't provide a variety of healthy choices."
