Dollar General 6 South Avenue East, Cranford, NJ 07016

"Not an actual dollar store, but items are generally lower than supermarket. Has a little bit of everything from soup & coffee to paper towels & garbage bags. Big card selection. And much more. Good hours, I believe they're open 10 to 10. However, there is no staff. There is no complete stock. It has gone down hill so much that I'm surprised they're still open. The self check out rarely works. The prices are often wrong. The staff is only 2 or 3 people. The wi fii often doesn't work in the store so my digital coupons never work anymore. I only go there because it's 3 1/2 blocks from my house. Usually on Saturdays they offer a $5 discount (if you spend $25) coupon if you've shopped during the week or online. That is one thing that used to keep me coming back weekly. But now you have to have the paper coupons because the digital don't always work. It's a shame. I don't know what happened to this store. It's a mess."

"If I could give zero stars, I would. This place is an absolute mess. If you need help finding something in the store, good luck. Because it’s even harder to find an employee. God forbid you find one and ask for help, they make it seem like it’s such an inconvenience. The only way to checkout is their 1 self checkout machine which barely even works half the time. The manager has a horrible attitude. Im surprised this place is even still in business."

"Extremely rude and racist worker. I had my baby on my arms and he was telling me do the self check out, and then I was waiting while someone was there, He was keep telling me why you don’t do the self check out. The worst customer service. I’ll never go back to place like that."

"My mother and I visited this store 10/26/2023 at 11:30 am. Sadly, my mother and I had a horrible experience. The cashier was so rude, didn’t want to help us so we left. I would not recommend this place."

"SO RUDE! Overall they’re an amazing deals and thing for the little ones. But the people working there are so rude. I was asking this lady to help and I accidentally stepped in this flour stuff on the ground and she yelled at me. Then, she didn’t even help me find what I came here for. Along with that she has been cursing at children under the age of 13. She also told me to leave if I’m not getting anything which I was. I would’ve mentioned the name if they were wearing name tags."
