"As of January 11th this year, I went to this pharmacy just to simply receive my prescription. However, both the woman and this older man behind the counter were giving my mother and I the run around about which insurance will cover the prescription, whether it be with my primary or, secondary insurance. Mind you, I have encountered another situation with this pharmacy where they told me, that I had to pay $1,000 some out of pocket for this certain medication...To be brief, these people and/or the health insurance companies just enjoy confusing the Hell out of their clients and just don't provide the clear and concise information we need to know about. My mother and I ended up finding out, that it is actually my primary, that was supposed to cover, along with the secondary and that I finally just had to pay $4.60 for my prescription. Can you believe all of this was over the reason this pharmacy doesn't accept bridge prescriptions and will only accept the full quantity of my medication? Moreover, just yesterday when I contacted them, the same woman, (I believe) tells me they don't want to provide my prescription just because it is a "controlled substance" and/or it is "too soon" for them to provide me it. It is honestly confusing/misleading, that the staff who work there don't explain to you in detail what the situation is when it comes to receiving your prescription...This is one of the reasons why I will be transitioning locations by March..."
"I have noticed that CVS has a policy in place to contact patients' insurance companies regarding prescription refill issues. However, I feel disappointed as it seems that this particular CVS store does not prioritize ensuring patients' access to their medications or actively collaborate with insurance providers to resolve refill-related issues, such as coverage restrictions or prior authorization requirements. This lack of effort from the store reflects poorly on the company's overall commitment to patient care, starting from the top at their headquarters. I believe it is essential for CVS to improve their approach, showing more empathy and humility when interacting with patients dealing with illness or disability."
"This place is horrible. We went here for vaccine appointments for our family. The pharmacist we experienced was one of the most condescending, rude, and disrespectful people I have ever met in customer service. No communication, no apology for causing us inconvenience, no humanity or consideration for others whatsoever. I don't usually write bad reviews...this place and particularly the pharmacist deserve it and don't even deserve the one star they received. Go somewhere, anywhere else, so you can be treated like a human being."
"CVS is the pharmacy that hates it's customers, especially the disabled ones. first, if your prescription says it's ready via the automated system, it's a lie. when you get there you'll have to wait at MINIMUM 30 minutes for them to do their jobs. the pharmacy manager Janine is front and center while people move at an absolute snails pace around her. they do not adhere to the store hours as listed, especially at the window. if you go to the window, they will tell you to come inside, and when you tell them you CAN'T WALK they will tell you too bad, go to another pharmacy! after forcing a disabled patient to walk inside while in excruciating pain just to get my asthma inhaler, they threatened me repeatedly and screamed at me to leave. they even encouraged other customers who were joining in on the verbal abuse and yelling like this was some kind of game and not my life. this pharmacy has repeatedly produced damaged inhalers that stop working halfway through being used and refuse to cooperate with my insurance to replace them. I will be reporting this pharmacy and Janine specifically to the state and I will also be filing a lawsuit for violating my rights as a disabled person."
"They often can't find my wife's prescription but the part I dislike even more is.... At the pharmacy, where there are LOTS of sick people, the credit card machines can't use the pen (they are taped to the counter) so you have to use your finger to sign your name on that nasty germ-ridden screen (not the using the pen is much better). I'm not a germaphobe by any stretch but this is unsanitary at best. Can you install contactless payment devices where you are literally servicing sick people please????"
