"Overall rating: 4.5 I went here last year and didn’t really like it too much. I thought it was overpriced and/or should be labeled under fine dining. However, I recently tried again this year for a happy hour special I saw on my feed I wanted to try out. I’m glad I did! They did a redesign of the store and it feels a lot more modern than when I previously went. The staff was soo friendly. The HH deal was a small appetizer and a quick snack for me. I’m still not sure if this is the spot for me, but I definitely liked it so much more. I recommend giving it a try!"
"After seeing an Instagram post, we decided to pay a visit and give it a try for the happy hour deal. The deal contains one pita, one appetizer, and one drink just for $16. There are two different pita options and I liked the one with sesame. The appetizer that has onion was also delicious. Sadly, I don't remember the names. My only complain is the location. I did not like the neighborhood as a first time visitor."
"You must order a pita, it was so good. Warm and fluffy, the first I've ever had like that. my favorites out of everything that we ordered were ravioli pasta, chicken sausage, and sourdough ice cream. I could eat those all by myself."
"I love this cute spot! It’s on the smaller side so may not be the best for bigger parties. The service was really great; they let me sit down even though I was 20 minutes early for my reservation. My friend and I split two rye pitas, labneh, the eggplant and cod dip & the broccoli rabe pasta. It was a good amount of food. The pita is phenomenal, definitely the best I’ve had in the city — freshly made, soft but crispy on the outside and well salted. The other food was very good too! Next time I’m trying their sourdough ice cream dessert option and the seeded semolina pita."
"I’ve eaten all over NYC, and all over the world, and P&C tops my charts of favorite restaurants I’ve ever been to. It’s a low-key neighborhood spot with food that is incredibly inventive and flavorful. The pita is the best pita I’ve had, period (and I’ve lived in the Middle East for years). Pita is an odd thing to highlight and you may shrug it off, but trust me, it’s worth coming just for the pita alone. The duck liver mousse is a staple for me on this menu- I have to get it every time and could genuinely eat a bucket of it. Each dish is unique. I don’t know any other spot in NYC that I could get roasted oysters with cheese and bacon (that’s also done in a tasteful way) and wagyu-beef tongue with shaved horseradish and cabbage. The service also keeps us coming back- P&C is owned by the loveliest couple who truly care about the food and their customers. Just very glad that this spot exists and I can continue to discover new tastes here!"
