"A pregnant Family member went to a consultation with Emmanual Apor Hematology, the facility, and the doctor wanted to bill me after the insurance was billed 5,500 dollars out of pocket for an Iron Infusion. Gave my pregnant sister lots of undue anxiety and stress really was not helpful or empathetic. Once we found out the pricing, we called other IV infusion centers that only charged 175, the doctor was arrogant and belligerent. The Doctors tune changed and he no longer felt comfortable with the Infusion and did not want to release the referral since it was not done with the vested interest party that was associated with this medical group. The procedure was no longer safe due to us wanting to use a place that was outside of their group. To date they did not release HER personal prescription or provided any further assistance, just seems like a money grab if you choose to go elsewhere that may be cheaper. Terrible ethics and "professionals"."
