"Beware! I went to Patrick bc I needed to start a company legally and wasn’t sure which type would be best. He convinced me to start an s-Corp even though that was more involved than a c-Corp. I was nervous but he assured me he/his office would walk me through everything I needed to know (for example, payroll, which you need to have with an s-Corp). After they took my money and started the paperwork, I had to keep emailing them asking when I can come in (and told to keep waiting), and 6+ months later, I still have no further instructions and not all the paperwork I was supposed to receive. I think they are overwhelmed with new clients, and therefor being very neglectful once they have your money. I could have filed for an s-Corp myself online. It’s quite simple. What I needed was someone to walk me through the rest of the setup, which I was very clear about in our meeting and assured I’d get that. Otherwise I wouldn’t have spent $500 (which is also very pricey for this kind of service)."

"I have been using Patrick’s services for about 7-8 years now and ever since the first year I used them their service and particularly their responsiveness has gotten absurdly bad. Recently, I was looking to buy a house and had found the house we wanted to make an offer on but needed to make some changes to my tax returns for the mortgage. I laid all of this out to Patrick and asked for the changes. I made it clear the urgency of the situation as the only thing keeping us from moving forward with the offer was getting these documents. After a few days I followed up. No response. Followed up again the next day. No response. The next day they said they’d get it done in the next few days. After those few days I followed up and finally they said they’d get it to me on Tuesday - a few days later. Tuesday evening around 6:30 I followed up - no answer. All of my emails prior were very friendly. I was aware they were doing me a favor (that I was paying $150 for) Wednesday morning I sent a less than friendly email telling them it was imperative that I heard back either way and how unacceptable it is to constantly be ignoring a paying client who was told that what I was paying for would be done yesterday! Patrick then had the audacity to tell me that my emails were not helping him work any faster. Needless to say I will be writing about this experience anywhere I can. After 7 years of being a client I would have hoped they could have had enough respect to get this done for me in a timely manner. I have since talked to another accountant who says these changes should have taken no more than 30 minutes. If anyone wants a recommendation for an accountant who is competent and responsive I have found several now and am happy to give their information. Just don’t use these idiots. TL;DR - DO NOT use these people. They have no respect for their clients time or money. They will charge you exorbitant fees then have the audacity to ignore your emails when you are seeking what you paid for."
