"Took my dog there for a skin infection because my daughter took her cat there for neutering and she said they were really nice and due to my regular vet closing, I had to find a new vet. No issues with the front desk at all and the Vet tech and Dr were extremely nice. Got the meds he uses for itching due to environmental allergies and antibiotics for the infection. A little more expensive than my last vet, but my dogs health is most important because he's a service animal."
"We had to put our cat down yesterday. We took her to see Dr. Shyenberg since he has cared for her in the past. He is so kind and caring with and was so gentle with our cat. He is very smart and took such good care of our cat. His staff was very kind to us as well including the worker who had to assist the Dr. during the procedure. We highly recommend this place if you need to take your pet for anything. Dr. Shyenberg even called us the next day to see how we were. He is amazing."
"Attention ALL! If you love your pets and want to save or preserve their lives, please stay away from this clinic. ESP: Yakov Sheynberg, and Ury Goloumenko My dog, Chubby Bogorodetskiy, a T-cup Yorkie, was a patient in this clinic for 10 years. From the beginning, even when minor incidents or health problems occurred, we would request to run all the needed tests: blood tests, urine tests, X-rays, and ultrasound. Money was not an issue regarding this dog and his well-being. When Chubby was around 10 years old, I noticed a change in his behavior. He drank way too much water; he became very anxious, and he peed a lot. I rushed him to the clinic, and the first thing Uri (because I can't call him a doctor) said was that Chubby was not in the mood! I asked him to take all the tests. After all the tests, Uri diagnosed him with kidney stones and urinary tract stones. I changed his diet and treated him for the stones, but Chubby's condition didn’t get much better. After many more visits and more tests worth about $3,000.00 over those couple of months, Uri diagnosed Chubby with diabetes insipidus. For months, Chubby's condition was worsening. On top of the problems before, Chubby started vomiting, losing balance, and becoming lethargic. I went back to the clinic, and Uri raised Chubby's medication. Two weeks later, my dog fell into a neurological coma. I rushed back to the clinic with a barely physically moving dog. I was in panic mode! In the clinic, I was yelled at by Yakov Sheynberg (the owner) and reassured by both vets that they had diagnosed him correctly. They treated me like garbage and told me they didn’t know why my dog was like this and that they couldn’t do anything about it. I took Chubby out of there to the nearest Vet emergency clinic. At the emergency clinic, I was told that my dog doesn’t physically look like he has diabetes insipidus, and the records that were transferred from the Sheepshead Bay Vet Group do not indicate him having that either. They transferred us to The Schwarzman Animal Medical Center/ Emergency, where he remained hospitalized for a couple of days. Dr. Zoe Greenfield at the Schwarzman Animal Medical Center, within the first hour of us being there, again confirmed that based on all the records from Sheepshead Bay Vet Group records, Chubby doesn’t seem to have diabetes insipidus. However, based on the ultrasound taken a while ago, it looked like Chubby could have a liver shunt! So we ran all the tests again at the Schwarzman Animal Medical Center, including a CT scan after Chubby got much better due to the correct diagnosis and medication prescribed, confirming that my dog has a Liver Shunt and not diabetes insipidus. Trying to save my dog from intoxication from incorrect medications and misdiagnosis cost me over $7,000.00 What kind of a vet misdiagnoses a dog and treats it for a disease that he doesn’t have to the point that a dog almost dies and still says that they’ve diagnosed him correctly? This clinic should not treat animals and should have their license revoked!"
"I took my four dogs here for over 15 years, my dog had an ear infection, they prescribed medication and it did not help. I called the office four times in four days and nobody got back to me. They couldn't care less that my dog was suffering and I am a Cancer patient and they were completely cold and ignorant. I ended up giving my dog my own amoxicillin after reading it was okay to do so. Don't take your animals here, they lied and said my dog had fleas and were upset I would not let them charge me $259 for flea baths and collars, all about money. Dr Sheyenberg is not the same, as he got old he got very money hungry and very grumpy."
"I want to make a review for Ury Goloumenko. He performed surgery for our dog Perseya on August 7 th, 2023. She had right hip luxation and her femoral head ligament was torn and joint capsule was disrupted. Ury suggested us to do femoral head ostectomy as it was the best course of action in that situation for long-term success and comfort. We trusted the doctor and agreed. The operation lasted 2 hours. The doctor showed us her MRI before and after that everything went well, the cut was smooth. We picked up Persia a few hours after the operation. She recovered quickly from the operation and felt well. We followed all the doctor’s recommendations for her rehabilitation. And 3 weeks after the operation, Perseya began to run and walk on four legs. Our happiness knew no bounds, as this was a very good result. We are very grateful to the doctor Ury Goloumenko for his professionalism and vast experience. He made a diagnosis very quickly and acted clearly and confidently. We will recommend him to everyone. The best surgeon we have ever met!"
