"I recently had a concerning experience with my pet post op . My dog was leaking a lot of fluid from an incision .Upon calling the clinic in a panic, I found the staff to be dismissive. Despite having a wellness plan with them, Dr . Jennifer Evenowski told the receptionist to tell me to go to emergency an emergency clinic really ?? Dr. Jennifer Evenowski.,Despite her claims of expertise in tissue and muscle, my dog's condition, a seroma, went misdiagnosed the day before by her. What's more disheartening was her refusal to reevaluate or provide further assistance. The passive-aggressive behavior added to the frustration. I was dismayed by the lack of professionalism, empathy, and veterinary knowledge displayed by all involved . It's disheartening to feel unsupported when seeking help for a beloved pet. I believe there is a need for improvement in customer service and communication at this clinic. I hope this feedback contributes to a better experience for future clients and their pets . I reached out for help regarding my pet's health, only to receive conflicting guidance from different veterinarians within the same clinic. This lack of coherence has left me questioning the professionalism,knowledge and communication within the establishment. In light of these experiences, I plan to escalate my concerns to the corporate level in the hope that they address these issues. Consistency in veterinary advice is crucial for pet owners, and my feedback aims to contribute to the improvement of overall service standards I trust that bringing this issue to the corporate level will lead to a comprehensive investigation"

"Banfield pet hospital in Metuchen is very clean, the staff are nice and professional, and I felt very comfortable asking many questions and for further clarifition as a first time pet owner. They also offer great pet coverage plans."

"This has got to be one of the most dysfunctional vet care facilities in NJ. They prescribed a chicken based food which they know my dog is allergic too but did so anyway. When questioned their response was simply “sorry”. They should all go back to school and learn the basics, READ THE FILE BEFOR PRESCRIBING MEDICINE… In addition they made us pay out of pocket for heart worm medics when it’s already covered by the insurance. We were told if we did not purchase it our pet would not have the dental cleaning done. What a bunch of crooks, STAY AWAY FOR HERE IF YOU LOVE YOUR PET !!!"

"I had an appointment for one of my dogs today, she needed a vaccine and I decided to add a nail trim, which the technician said that was going to be a little more expensive than a groomer because they are hospital staff. My boyfriend and I decided to add it anyways because our dog is a 2-month-old Belgian Malinois with black nails; we were afraid to cut the pink area and hurt her so we decided to let “professionals” do it. While we were waiting in the room we heard our puppy crying in pain like three times, the first one we thought it was the vaccine, but the other two made us suspect that they might have cut the pink area. When the technician brought her back 4 of her nails were bleeding, we tried to talk to her, but she seemed so energetic that she barely let us talk. She said that they don’t have x-ray vision to cut black nails and that cutting the pink area was a risk (which she didn’t mention at first) she applied a yellow-ish powder on the dog nails and sent us to the front. We also tried to talk to Carly the receptionist to express and explain our unpleasant experience which left us very disappointed, but she didn’t care at all she said it was a risk and that they couldn’t do anything about it. She was smiling ironically while she was denying us any kind of help or customer service. If I would have been told that one of the risks implied my puppy being in unnecessary pain I would have take her to my groomer who can actually cut any kind of dog nails without hurting the dogs. Very unprofessional stafff."

"This Banfield location has been the best experience by far, they are always diligent and try to accommodate my appointments. One of my pets recently crossed the rainbow bridge and they took care of her with love, care and the respect that she deserved. I cannot thank them enough for all their support and love when I needed it."
